Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Solution Specialist, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Designing, implementing, and operating solutions for custom-developed systems, platform integration, and application modernization to enable core business capabilities. Directing large technology engagements and participating in projects including ideation, identification, planning and cost estimation through requirements, design, development, testing, implementation and production. Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Estimating time and resources needed for the development work. Functioning as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients business needs. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, processing design, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Creating test cases and performing functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources and monitoring project progress. Researching user reported issues, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Writing functional and technical system requirements and use cases, creating process flow diagrams and finalizing system requirements. Performing conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques. Tracking application defects using defect tracking tools, coordinating defect resolution efforts, and documenting resolution details. Identifying and recording key deadlines for the workstream in the client engagement to ensure clear communication, organization, and coordination between multiple parties, and constructing a work plan around them that will quickly and effectively achieve client goals whilst also allowing for reasonable work time and unexpected delays or pivots. Creating clear, effective, and detailed deliverable content, including written, visual, and oral deliverables, which are informed by research, analytics, and client meetings. Presenting content that addresses client needs in solutioning sessions to drive toward a decision, and validating that decision with client leadership to drive the company s growth and progress. Gaining exposure to multiple industries and service lines within the practice while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities. Assessing and diagnosing a problem and analyzing the interactions between key drivers. Defining clear business objectives and desired outcomes to guide own work and the work of others. Understanding tools and methodologies related to the design, configuration, building and testing of application functionality. Understanding how to design, configure, build, and test application functionality. Understanding technology fundamentals, including architectures, data modeling, and application development lifecycle. Translating business needs into associated technical requirements and understanding solutions that will incorporate these requirements. Developing solutions to client problems through application of methods and tools. Validating solutions to subject matter experts. Identifying and solving problems using analysis, experience, and decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any) or a related field.

  • Two years of experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation.

  • Must have two years of experience with:

  • Introducing and enforcing IT Service Management (ITSM) processes to improve processes for non-production environments;

  • Introducing automation to replicate the Application Performance Management (APM) monitors, alerts and notifications from the Production (PROD) to Non-PROD environments;

  • Implementing and scheduling Rundeck jobs to clear the occupied disc space and integrating SNOW with Rundeck through Java controller;

  • Designing of end to end Representational State Transfer (REST) based architecture for sensor based data simulator which will generate and simulate the data for different assets and tags;

  • Designing and materializing end to end build and deploying Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using Jenkins;

  • Integrating Jenkins with Git Repo, Sonarqube, Coverity, Checkmarx, Jmeter, unit test cases and Nexus Repository.

  • 80% travel required.
