Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Specialist, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Performing financial, logistical, and operational controls for project management covering all stages of a project lifecycle from pursuit phase through project closeout. Assessing and diagnosing problems analyzing the interactions between key drivers. Developing solutions to client problems through application of personal experience and standard methods and tools. Validating solutions with subject matter experts. Understanding the key components and tracking progress against work plan and identifying potential issues while staying focused on identified priorities. Defining clear business objectives and desired outcomes to guide own work and the work of others. Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Estimating time and resources needed for the development work. Functioning as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients business needs. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, processing design, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Creating test cases and performing functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources and monitoring project progress. Researching user reported issues, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Writing functional and technical system requirements and use cases, creating process flow diagrams and finalizing system requirements. Performing conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques. Tracking application defects using defect tracking tools, coordinating defect resolution efforts, and documenting resolution details. Perform solution development and create application architecture in Legacy Modernization projects using DB2, IBM Information Management System (IMS), Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM), Teradata, COBOL, Dylakor, Job Control Language (JCL), Structured Query Language (SQL), and Restructured Extended Executor (REXX). Optimize SQL (Structured Query Language) queries using DB2 (Database 2) explain module. Publish daily change and testing progress reports using IBM Jazz and MS Excel. Perform coding, unit testing, and coordinate with the surrounding teams for system integration and user acceptance testing utilizing IBM Debugger and Xpeditor. Create and review the functional test plan for system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) using IBM Jazz and Rational Team Concert (RTC). Analyze the functional specifications of projects and determine the impact on existing functionality. Conceptualize the business needs and translate the requirements into technical solutions utilizing MS Visio and MS Powerpoint. Prepare a high level technical specification document with the use of case diagrams and concept architecture for the client requirements and prepare a low level technical specification document using MS Visio. Providing support throughout Integration, Quality Assistance and User Acceptance testing phases of application development using Application Programming Interface (API) testing tools, Clearquest and JIRA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, CIS, MIS or a related field.

  • Two years of experience as a Project Delivery Specialist, Technology Analyst, Systems Engineer or a related occupation.

  • Must have two years of experience with:

  • Performing solution development and creating application architecture in Legacy Modernization projects using DB2, IBM Information Management System (IMS), Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM), Teradata, COBOL, Dylakor, Job Control Language (JCL), Structured Query Language (SQL), and Restructured Extended Executor (REXX);

  • Optimizing SQL (Structured Query Language) queries using DB2 (Database 2) explain module;

  • Publishing daily change and testing progress reports using IBM Jazz and MS Excel;

  • Performing coding, unit testing, and coordinating with the surrounding teams for system integration and user acceptance testing utilizing IBM Debugger and XPeditor;

  • Creating and reviewing the functional test plan for system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) using IBM Jazz and Rational Team Concert (RTC);

  • Analyzing the functional specifications of projects and determining the impact on existing functionality;

  • Conceptualizing the business needs and translating the requirements into technical solutions utilizing MS Visio and MS Powerpoint;

  • Preparing a high level technical specification document with the use of case diagrams and concept architecture for the client requirements and preparing a low level technical specification document using MS Visio;

  • Providing support throughout Integration, Quality Assistance and User Acceptance testing phases of application development using Application Programming Interface (API) testing tools, Clearquest and JIRA.

  • 80% travel required.

  • Telecommuting permitted.
