JavaScript Developer

Work you'll do/Responsibilities:

  • Work with development teams to deliver solutions the meet client requirements

  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code

  • Track, manage and be a part of small teams on short term sprints, and long-term software deployments

  • Collaborate with teams and implement the most relevant development tools/techniques to solve client issues and exceed client requirements

  • Use your strong communication skills and technical knowledge to translate technical software solutions to non-technical clients


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2+ years of development experience with Java and web services

  • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

  • 1+years of experience with writing complex MS SQL stored procedures, database triggers

  • Ability to analyze and develop technical specifications from a user story before start implementing the user story

  • Experience reviewing, fixing, and maintaining the code developed by peers or junior programmers

  • Strong strategic communication skills to include presenting quantitative concepts in easy to understand formats and actively listening to identify business problems and their causes

  • Excellent problem-solving/analytical skills and ability to break down large complex concept

  • A curious, questioning attitude that leads them to look past superficial appearances to find deeper problems, insights, and solutions

  • Travel up to 20% annually (While 20% travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

  • Must live near, or relocate to, the Lake Mary, FL, Gilbert, AZ, or Mechanicsburg, PA areas

  • Limited Immigration Sponsorship may be available

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the insurance industry

  • Experience Cloud Native platforms

  • Experience with database querying and database management systems

  • Hands-on experience with RDBMS

  • Experience with Agile methodology (Scrum) and using the JIRA tool is a plus
