Work you ll do/Responsibilities
As a Cloud Architect, you will lead technical teams to architect, build out and deploy a cloud solution to support enterprise clients. This will require all dimensions of cloud architecture including:
Architecting application designs using AZURE Services or other leading cloud providers
Building, migrating and testing AZURE environments and integration with other providers
Designing end to end application and data security
Leading application migration projects including optimizing technical reliability and improving application performance
Integration with on-premise applications, cloud providers or other platforms
Implementing cost optimized solutions (based on usage, business requirements and budget)
Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.
Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
Bachelor-level degree in engineering, information technology, data communications, telecommunications, computer science, or equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications
Ability to architect enterprise applications using Azure
Understand cloud security for access identify management to security groups
Deep knowledge of automation scripts and tools like bash, Chef, Docker, Ansible and CloudFormation.
Understand how to deploy multi-tier application across a custom defined Virtual Private Cloud
Ability to setup multi-level network environments with Azure
Ability to design scalable, secure, reliable and efficient technical cloud ecosystems to support enterprise applications
Knowledge of how to setup and use different database types like Azure SQL, SQL Data Warehouse, Bigtable or BigQuery
Experience with API and Gateway functions like Cloud Function and API Gateway (or equivalent)
9 years of relevant consulting, industry or technology experience
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Home office location will be in Mechanicsburg, PA or Gilbert, AZ
Open to potential Travel up to 25% only if required by Project or Business Leads
MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Data Engineer
We consider AWS certification Associate/Professional Solution Architect as well
Experience with Linux and/or windows-based OS including virtual machines like AMI, Redhat, SUSE or Windows Server
Experience with VMware products like vRealize
Experience with cloud automation and container tools like bash scripting, Ansible, Docker, Chef or Puppet
Working knowledge of ITIL and/or agile methodologies
