Deloitte HR Specialist (Staffing & Placement) in Kansas City, Missouri

Work you ll do

As a HR Specialist (Staffing & Placement) in the Human Capital group you will:

  • Monitor, manage & update job announcements based on business manager requests or changes to timeline

  • Track and maintain applicant data in client-specific systems

  • Conduct and document a job analysis as directed by the client

  • Consult with the client on the applicant assessment strategy, document priority consideration to candidates (i.e. career transition assistance program and reassignment priority eligibles), as well as candidates' eligibility for veterans' preference

  • Determine and/or verify minimum qualification requirements for all candidates. Minimum qualifications are determined by closely reviewing the candidates' supporting documentation (i.e. resumes and/or transcripts) and verifying that the candidates possess the minimum level of education and/or experience in accordance with OPM qualification standards

  • Coordinate interview and hiring recommendations with hiring manager and other stakeholders

  • Provide technical guidance to client on how to conduct interviews

  • Prepare the certificates of eligible/qualified candidates and provide it to the client for review and approval

  • Audit certificates to confirm the action taken on a returned certificate of eligibles by the client complies with legal and regulatory selection procedures

  • Extend conditional job offers to selected applicants

  • Respond to applicant inquiries from job opportunity announcements

  • Maintain examining case files, including job analysis documentation in accordance with OPM's records retention requirements

  • Respond to inquiries from the client regarding staffing actions

  • Initiate and conduct all onboarding activities and set entry on duty date

The HR Transformation team is a core component of our Human Capital practice the work we do supports the five major issues our clients are facing. We collaborate with our clients to develop leading global HR strategies and support organizations in achieving excellence through implementing solutions that transform how they organize, develop capabilities, deploy leading technology, and deliver a leading employee experience.

Keeping the employee in mind, all our services cater to improving an organization s productivity through their human capital asset. The client issues we work with range from the need for a comprehensive HR strategy to determining the need for new and enabling technologies, to streamlining HR operations and transforming the way HR is delivered.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Six (6) to eight (8) years (minimum) of federal human resources & personnel processing experience

  • Experience applying Human Resources principles, Federal HR laws, regulations, and policies relating to position management

  • Experience supporting federal government HR organizations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization

  • Experience producing and presenting reports to executives

  • QA Quality Management experience

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

  • Experience applying human resources principles, federal HR laws, regulations, and policies relating to position management

  • Ability to understand and respond effectively to complex or sensitive inquiries

  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role

  • Ability to work full time in one of the following locations:

  • Washington, DC

  • Austin, TX

  • Philadelphia, PA

  • Ogden, UT

  • Memphis, TN

  • Kansas City, MO

  • Holtzville, NY

Preferred:

  • Delegated Examining Unit (DEU) Certification

  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
