Work You ll Do

Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, internal controls that mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement. Assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods, and tools to support service offerings or industry projects. Use technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design, and implement products and services that empower clients with better visibility of risk and performance across its extended enterprise. Construct and assess high-level and detailed security programs translating business needs and regulatory requirements into cost effective and risk appropriate controls. Identify opportunities to improve engagement profitability. Understand clients business environment and effective risk and compliance management approaches. Develop information security, cybersecurity, privacy and third party risk management strategies based upon industry standards and leading practices around security. Utilize knowledge of business processes, risk management, compliance programs, control frameworks, organizational enablers and market trends on client engagements. Generate innovative ideas and participate in decision making with engagement management. Build and nurture strong client relationships. Assess client security and control readiness and provide appropriate security assistance. Write reports and contribute to a strong client relationship through interactions with client personnel. Understand engagement as it relates to client business. Demonstrate knowledge in some areas of industry or functional specialty. Assume responsibility for small components of engagements. Contribute to engagement planning and ensuring that products/deliverables meet contract/work plan. Deliver services that meet task leader specifications. Recognize and communicate opportunities to sell "add-on" work to client.



  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Management, Mathematics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).

  • Eighteen months of experience designing and developing IT Risk and Cyber security programs using industry frameworks and methodologies.

  • Experience must include eighteen months of:

  • Developing Integrated Requirements toolkits to rationalize requirements across industry standards and compliance frameworks including NIST CSF, HKMA C-RAF, FFIEC CAT, FFIEC Booklets, PCI DSS, DHS CRR;

  • Conducting maturity assessments of information security, cybersecurity, privacy, or third-party risk management programs with a focus on operational risk, business continuity risk, compliance risk and financial risk;

  • Enhancing risk management programs by designing governance and interaction models, assessment questionnaires, risk classification methodology, management procedures, process flows, and reporting strategy;

  • Testing the design and operating effectiveness of controls to identify gaps and propose remediation initiatives along with priority and cost / effort estimates;

  • Assisting clients with re-organizing their operating models, including determining potential capabilities to be outsourced, with corresponding staffing needs and transition plans;

  • Contributing to business development efforts by strategizing and executing on industry roundtables, greenhouse labs, client workshops, partnership alliances, and whitepapers;

  • Leveraging tools and technology to firms clients with comprehensive monitoring of enterprise risks and performance to provide informed decision making;

  • Transforming clients risk cultures by determining risk tolerance, formalizing periodic communications, and executing training and awareness programs;

  • Guiding project management activities including recording documentation, reviewing quality of deliverables, tracking and socializing project progress, key issues, financials, and staffing; and

  • Mentoring, coaching and providing constructive feedback to new or junior team members.

  • Position requires 80% travel.
