Deloitte is looking for founders with a passion for solving the world's most pressing problems to join our Catalyst Innovation Hub.
As a Founder in our Catalyst Innovation Hub, you will be focused on identifying and incubating ideas that have the best opportunity to become high-growth technology businesses within Deloitte. From refining the problem statement to defining the MVP, you will lead the entire process.
We are looking for creative, entrepreneurially minded, self-starters ideally with early-stage startup or product strategy experience and/or Founder experience. Top candidates will be customer-obsessed and have a unique blend of strategy, creativity, and technology experience.
The Team: Deloitte Catalyst sits at the heart of Deloitte's product innovation ambitions. You'll work alongside other founders, entrepreneurs, and innovators who are passionate about building and launching new products and businesses. Through our Industry-aligned Hub teams - and the expertise of our practitioners - we uncover big problems for our clients and build new products to solve them. Hubs are made up of founders, researchers, designers, and dev teams who work with Industry leaders to further their innovation agendas in the marketplace. Additionally, you will have unlimited access to the brain trust of Deloitte practitioners with expertise in nearly every industry and business topic.
Activities: As a Founder, you will own the incubation process end-to-end and will conduct customer discovery and market research required to validate product/market fit for your business. Activities will include developing a deep understanding of users/buyers via research, concepting and prototyping, business model definition, financial analysis, feature definition and road mapping, leading build teams, and collaborating with internal/external SMEs.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in startups, digital product strategy, digital product management, digital product development, innovation, or innovation consulting
Previous experience in entrepreneurship including working in or with startups, starting your own business or side business, etc.
Natural problem solver and driver with strong ability to apply structured thinking in ambiguous situations, determine next steps, and delegate among teammates
Demonstrated ability to transform user, customer, and business needs into features and product requirements (e.g. epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, etc.)
Strong ambition to learn via experiments, research, and testing
Experience working with design teams to create prototypes through the wireframes and visual designs with an empathetic view of the customer problem
Detailed organizational skills and ability to operate autonomously
Understanding of product analytics and KPIs/OKRs
Agile methodology; certification is considered a plus
Proficient with JIRA, Confluence, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to manage stakeholders
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Ability to travel up to 15% for team co-location and research
Masters or MBA degree or completed in these or related areas of study:
Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
Ability to coach peers and leaders and drive collective work forward
Ability to work with senior leadership with varying perspectives; ability to synthesize information and provide a data-backed, best-fit recommendation
Demonstrated devotion to DEI principles and advocacy
Demonstrated involvement in continued learning and curiosity around industry fundamentals
Experience in any of the following industries, retail & consumer products, automotive, transportation, hospitality, technology, media, and/or telecommunications
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000 to $155,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
