Deloitte recently launched the Converge⢠hybrid market offering as part of a $750M investment in product development over the next 5 years, which will blend the agility of a startup and the reach of a leading professional services firm. Converge is launching a Banking Suite product line to compete in the exciting FinTech ecosystem, which will focus on delivering a world-class customer experience for consumer and small businesses of smaller banks and non-banks. The Banking Suite platform is a cloud-native stack at every layer and aims to help Banking Suite clients compete with large bank incumbents and FinTechs with the flexibility to deliver innovative marketing, product, and pricing strategies, while enjoying dramatically lower digital bank operating costs. The Banking Suite team is looking to build a FinTech startup team with a passion for innovation and the experience to launch a high-quality digital banking product.
Work You'll Do
Manage multiple workstreams for large cross-functional teams by defining and meeting estimated cost, time, and scope goals.
Deliver periodic capacity, demand, budget, and staff allocation plans to the leadership team to continuously optimize the team.
Coordinate program, product, and project communications, own product change intake process, and manage strategic release management processes.
Define and manage the PMO, multiple scrum masters, and large project/team budgets.
Blend together the best techniques across traditional project management and Agile methods.
Optimize the existing product planning tools and ensure consistency and efficient use of business architecture, product roadmap, task management, and DevOps tools.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the strategic intake and prioritization process with the BankingSuite leadership team across multiple enterprise-wide projects. Provide weekly program status reports to facilitate direction-setting and solving schedule, scope, or cost issues with key projects
Manage staff capacity and demand plans and help the BankingSuite leadership team resource-level the organization. Provide periodic breakdowns of existing staff by budget category, project assignment, team assignment, and/or skillset to help the organization optimize staffing to meet strategic needs
Manage the process and tools necessary to effectively communicate scope, schedule, and cost estimates and actuals across multiple projects and products. Guide product managers and scrum masters to follow common product and project management best practices
Ensure cohesion and effective communications between roadmap planning (i.e. Aha!), task tracking (i.e. JIRA), and DevOps management tools, so that all team members are informed of the broader plan
Provide an effective project issue escalation and risk management process so teams can quickly react to emerging enterprise-wide concerns
Aid in staffing, recruiting, on-boarding and balancing full time employee and contractor staffing as appropriate across sustainable capability development and variable project efforts.
Track actuals and forecasts for capacity and costs to optimize resources on a monthly basis and ensure compliance with the annual
Document key business outcomes that can be used to measure the success of the projects
Qualifications
Required:
5+ years of expert program, project, and agile management experience in financial services
PMI and/or scrum master certified. Experience in waterfall project management, agile product development, and Kanban techniques and proficient in leveraging the right technique at the right time
Experience managing large cross-functional teams, building/managing a formal PMO, and defining project charters, product scope, and building well-defined and feasible schedules
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and drive business decisions with information and make appropriate trade-off decisions.
Experience in consulting, sourcing, vendor management, contracting, and onboarding both full time employees and contractors
Proficient with project management and agile software applications, and MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with roadmap planning (Aha!, MS project, etc.) and task management tools (i.e. JIRA)
Ability to work independently with minimal direction and comfortable working through ambiguity
Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, or related field required. MBA is a plus
Preferred:
Excellent written and verbal communications/presentation skills and experience presenting to senior executives, decision makers, and external stakeholders with a history of teamwork
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborating across geographically distributed teams
Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure
Strong attention to detail including precise and effective stakeholder communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $114,000-$209,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
