UX Design Lead - USDC Sr. Solution Specialist

The USDC leverages scale, talent, and a center delivery model to provide high quality, cost-effective service with standardized processes and procedures. Our US Delivery Centers have been growing since 2014 with significant, continued growth on the horizon. Our delivery centers are based in Mechanicsburg, PA, Lake Mary, FL and Gilbert, AZ.

The USDC Deloitte Studios Team

We are a collection of artists, analysts, engineers, writers, makers, designers, and dreamers. Sitting within our Advertising, Marketing, and Commerce offering (AM&C), we bring together our Digital Experience Capabilities and our Advertising/Marketing teams into a new kind of Creative agency. From our US Delivery Centers , we work collaboratively with our consulting counterparts to design, develop, and build solutions to help clients reimagine, reshape, and rewire the competitive fabric of entire industries. Our Center is home to a multitude of specialists ranging from systems designers, architects, and integrators, to creative digital experts and Human Capital professionals. We are a unique blend of skills and experiences, yet we underline the value of each individual, providing customized career paths, fostering innovation, and developing knowledge with a focus on quality. The US Delivery Center supports a collaborative team culture where we work and live close to home with limited travel.

Role You'll Play:

  • Work with our core consulting teams to understand their business requirements in the broader context of their digital strategy and advocate for the customer by developing intuitive interactions and easy-to-use interfaces

  • Work closely with project managers, design, engineering, and quality assurance

  • Bring user-centered design (UCD) process methods to digital solutions from concept to launch

  • Clearly articulate and defend your design decisions in front of teams and clients

  • Identify and execute on the best methods for user research and testing within client constraints

  • Work within agile methodology

  • Provide strategic solutions for early stage project planning

  • Independently deliver on projects and work with others on teams

  • Help the team plan and run effective client workshops and client stakeholder meetings

  • Facilitate effective decision-making with clients

  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, mockups and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces

  • Monitor and have knowledge of wider industry UX trends and relevant technology trends

Required Qualifications - What you bring:

  • 4+ years of design experience in a consulting or in-house environment

  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your experience, storytelling and design presentation skills

  • Demonstrated experience in planning for and delivering experience projects

  • Experience in reviewing existing systems and processes to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations

  • Experience in UX research, including planning, designing and facilitating user sessions and client workshops, analyzing findings and articulating results

  • Experience in UX design, including information architecture, user and screen flows, conceptual and detailed wireframing and prototyping

  • Experience with modern design tools like Figma, Sketch, Axure, Principle, Framer and InVision

  • Willingness to travel up to 20 percent (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred Qualifications- Bonus Points if you have:

  • Experience with or understanding of UI/Visual design including branding, style, color, typography, and ability to develop high fidelity mocks and prototypes of solutions

  • Experience with conversational UI

  • Experience in augmented, virtual or mixed reality

  • Motion design

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A clear passion and enthusiasm for learning and pursuing your expertise, constantly challenging the definition of what makes good user experience
