Work you ll do:
Supply Management/Sourcing &Procurement Consultant:
Along with dynamic colleagues, you willhelp companies develop, implement, and operationalize Sourcing &eProcurement capabilities for both external and internal customer-facingoperations. As a Consultant, you will have a role in participating in theproject delivery and implementation of Sourcing & Procurement strategy& transformation for large, complex client engagements. These clientprojects identify, design, and implement creative business and technologysolutions for large organizations.
Consultants function as integratorsbetween business needs and technology solutions, while gaining exposure tomultiple industries and demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth ofservices offered by Deloitte Consulting LLP.
Consultant level responsibilitiesinclude: working both independently and in collaboration with a larger teamapproach and multiple team-tasks, provide service excellence by helpingidentifying client business issues, helping to determine and definingclient/project needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques andtools with innovative approaches, evaluating, and validating analysis anddocumentation.
Consultants perform accurate analysis andeffective diagnosis of client issues and manage day-to-day client relationshipsat peer client levels. You will be expected to help implement the quality ofdeliverables within you work-stream, analyze information and data to help driverequirements and processes.
Consultantswill also have the following preferred skills:
A minimum of 3 years consulting and/or industry experience is required, with the Ability totravel up to80%.
Experience with Sourcing &Procurement projects; preferably from the strategy through implementationphases; with a focus on contributing to a project work-stream/project plan andbusinessprocess.
Experience including some/most of thefollowing: operational sourcing & procurement transformation, businessprocess, direct and indirect spend, materials, category management, andspend/purchasing, demand management and vendor/supplier management, and/ordemandmanagement.
Ability to work independently; as well ascollaborate in a project/teamenvironment.
Strong oral and written communication anddocumentation skills, including presentation skills (MS Excel, MS Visio, MSPowerPoint,etc).
Problem solving and troubleshootingskills with the ability to exercise maturejudgment.
A Bachelor's Degree is required
Experience with large data-sets andoptimizationmodeling
MBA or Advanced degree is preferred.
