Deloitte Advisory Confidentiality Office - Senior Consultant in Houston, Texas
The Advisory Confidentiality Office (ACO) is seeking a Senior Consultant to support the strategic priorities and mitigation of confidentiality and privacy risks across Risk & Financial Advisory (Advisory). The successful candidate will be expected to quickly build subject matter expertise in the US Firms' confidentiality and privacy policies while providing impactful contributions to the deployment of the Confidential Information (CI) Program, assessing technologies for confidentiality and privacy risks, and evaluating and responding to requests about confidentiality and privacy.
The Advisory Confidentiality Office serves as a trusted advisor within Advisory providing guidance and consultation regarding confidentiality requirements and leading practices to support client service and internal operations in mitigating risk, responding to incidents, and implementing solutions. The ACO's strategic priorities include:
Advising and consulting on confidentiality and privacy risks
Monitoring and facilitating compliance with regulatory and legal obligations
Helping to secure Confidential Information (CI) and preventing data loss
Assisting in the response and management of the CI incidents and insider risk violations
Key Job Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of the US Firms' confidentiality policies to provide accurate consultation on confidentiality and privacy inquiries
Confidential Information Management Plan (CIMP) Development - manage the deployment of the CI Program, which includes understanding the Deloitte Acceptance Portal (DAP) workflow to appropriately identify engagements that have elevated CI risk, understanding the CIMP builder tool and providing the CIMP and on/offboarding tools to implement the program
Support awareness activities such as the Continuous Monitoring Program (CMP) which monitors the deployment of CIMPs
Coordinate activities related to Advisory CI incidents
Learn and support the annual Privacy Verification Certification process by coordinating with Quality Risk Management (QRM), Advisory leadership, business process owners, and supporting system owners
Work with team members to conduct confidentiality and privacy assessments on new/emerging technologies including exception requests
Maintain accurate records and evidence of related activities
Triage and respond to shared ACO mailbox inquiries
Directly and indirectly support projects/strategies through data analytics, reporting, and analysis efforts including the identify of insights, potential risks, and mitigation strategies
Create and publish Tableau dashboards, data visualizations, data interpretation
Prepare regular status reports on ACO activities
Develop PowerPoint presentations in response to ad hoc requests
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
3-5 years of relevant work experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Proficiency with Tableau including creating and publishing dashboards, data visualizations, data interpretation
Highly organized, self-starter that can anticipate team needs and deliver per deadlines
Aptitude in technology with ability to identify and execute technology solutions to meet needs
Confidence in working across teams with strong facilitation skills to lead complicated discussions with many participants
Highly responsive and operates with a sense of urgency when required
Demonstrated track record in sound judgement, strong attention to detail, and persistence in following through on issues to conclusion
Excellent communications (oral and written), problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Strong client service orientation and confidence in communicating with cross functional teams
Remains calm under pressure while retaining ability to influence others in high pressure situations
Highly collaborative work ethic with commitment to team success
Ability to work with professionals in different time zones, including India
Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task across various initiatives and activities
Quick and eager learner to apply new skills and technologies with a focus on results
Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters and/or JD preferred
Experience in professional services, risk management, client service, or consulting services
Experience with Collaboration Tools (e.g., Teams, One Drive, SharePoint)
Experience in working independently and preparing reports and deliverables
Experience summarizing results and producing management reports
Experience producing and delivering appropriate communications
Exposure to elements of CI including PII/PHI
