Work you ll do
The IT SAFe Program Consultant is a Certified SAFeProgram Consultant (SPC) and change agent who leads all levels of anorganization through a Lean-Agile transformation at scale by training,coaching, facilitating, and mentoring. This servant leader plays a criticalrole by applying expert knowledge of SAFe.
Communicatethe business need, urgency, and vision for change.
Workclosely with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to develop the implementation plan andmanage the transformation backlog.
Establishthe metrics for Portfolio, Large Solution, Program, and Team progressreporting.
Continuouslydevelop and communicate vision to the development teams.
Conductor source training for executives, managers and leaders, development teams,(i.e., Leading SAFe) and specialty roles such as Product Owner, ProductManager, Scrum Master, and Release Train Engineer.
IdentifyValue Streams and help define and launch Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
Providecoaching and training to ART stakeholders and teams participating in critical,initial events like Program Increment (PI) Planning and Inspect and Adapt(I&A) meetings.
FosterSAFe Communities of Practice (CoPs).
Communicatethe progress of transitions and Program Increments.
ImplementLean-Agile focus days, with guest speakers, and present internal case studies.
Benchmarkand connect with the external Agile community.
Promotecontinuing Lean-Agile education.
ExtendLean-Agile practices to other areas of the company, including Lean Budgets,Lean Portfolio Management, contracts, and human resources.
Helpto establish a culture of relentless improvement.
Decision Making/Judgment Required
Classroom management and time management
Agile experience: ability to teach an Agile classfor beginner, intermediate, and expert skill levels
Ability to communicate with all levels of theorganization
Possess experiences or stories, and an ability toconnect business and IT
Experience and ability to connect across businesscontexts and speak the language
Technical fluency to effectively work withprocesses and workflows
Ability to manage changing business requirements,timelines, and needs through consistent adjustment
Emotional intelligenceat a minimum, understandimpact of decisions on people, workflows, and business
