Work You ll Do
Provide architecture design leadership for various lines of business and enterprise applications for custom Mobile and Web solutions and third-party vendor products. Responsible for Mobile and Web application architecture, service architecture, and technical design for high performance and scalability in a distributed, multi-tier and cross-platform mobile environment. Provide technical and architectural leadership for iOS and Android mobile applications and Microsoft .NET web applications. Create project and application architecture deliverables that are consistent with architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and best practices. Responsible for defining technical evaluation criteria for product and technology selection and determining technical approaches to ensure all architectural solutions result in a coherent systems design. Lead technical design sessions with the development teams, including the creation of class models, and sequence diagrams, component models, and provide detailed design specifications to ensure that architecture standards are followed. Apply research and development, prototyping, and vendor evaluations. Provide expert knowledge of mobile application architecture to business and technology teams and facilitate the collaborative development of the technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices. Provide support and guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development, and testing processes. Work with business clients and product owners to review business drivers, needs, and strategies to anticipate future business and technology needs. Review and approve third-party and integration solution architectures based on established enterprise application strategy. Communicate implications of architectural decisions, technology costs, benefits, and implementation requirements to business and IT leadership. Define and validate non-functional (technical) requirements, and establish traceability between requirements and application architecture and design.
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Five years of consulting or development experience with mobile applications or technical solutions.
In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept no degree and seven years of consulting or development experience with mobile applications or technical solutions.
Experience must include five years of:
Coding, deploying distributed architectures and platforms, creating benchmark tests, designing for scalability and performance, and implementing large-scale vendor systems;
Implementing and deploying Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance;
Architecting mobile enterprise solutions based on REST web services;
Developing IT architecture plans and software development methodologies, including Agile and SCRUM;
Designing and implementing with web-based technologies and Mobile tools, including iOS SDK, Android SDK, SQLite, JSON, xCode, Android Studio, xCode-Instruments, Google APIs, PNS, GCM, GIT, Stash, JIRA, and Confluence;
Analyzing technical requirements and technical dependencies to design high-level application architecture, and designing, developing, and testing prototypes and product presentations for applications;
Collaborating with back-end and front-end web and mobile development teams and providing code and design reviews; and
developing and writing technical documentation, and creating documentation for project administration and developer usage.
