Lead Payroll Analyst Work You ll Do Payroll Processing is a specialized team within the Payroll organization of Finance that manages bi-weekly firm-wide processing payroll and payroll taxes, for over 58,000 employees.Major activities include: Processing payroll using SAP and proprietary toolsPayroll reportingPayroll systems support and IT testingPayroll project managementPayroll accounting supportManual adjustments to payroll balancesTesting system updates and changesPayroll audit supportAcquisitions and divestitures supportSAP systems knowledgePrimary Duties: The role is primarily responsible for leading payroll processing activities including individual and bulk uploads, personnel changes, transfers, Partner and Director payments, cross-border transfers between India, United States and Canada, as well as departures back to home countries, and other various responsibilities as required. The candidate will process SAP payroll for employees and partners; generate the check and direct deposit (ACH) files; and will oversee the distribution of advices. The role will also have responsibility for payroll related communication with employees and management. Additionally, this position will be responsible for user acceptance testing as system changes are required. This is a teaming environment and attention to detail is critical. Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities: Process bi-weekly payroll using SAP Payroll.Provide payroll assistance for special payments and adjustments as directed by the Office of General Counsel (Legal), Talent (Human Resources), and senior leadership.Ensures that payment requests are received from approved sourcesSubject matter expert on various payroll deductions, working with National Benefits and Information Technology for new or revised programs in SAP. Ensures compliance with various tax laws.Provides project support for changes in policy, procedure, or technology for payroll. Manages payroll updates for acquisitions and divestitures, and the annual the SAP upgrade. Provides consultative services for other departments such as Talent, Office of General Counsel, Technology, Payroll Taxes, Global Employer Services, Payroll Controls, India Operations, National Benefits Group, Call Center and Global Mobility. Able to work with a global network of employeesLead payroll projects as assigned.Ensure process documentation compliance and maintains payroll procedures within Financial Services Group repository.Liaise with IT in development and testing of systems, performs User Acceptance Testing.
