Position Reports to: NGT CoE US Technical Sr Manager.
Work you ll do
Key Role Description
This Next Generation Tool (NGT) Manager role designs, develops, implements, and manages technology solutions for finance. Solutions that the manager will deliver include .Net applications, SQL Server data marts, process improvement with RPA, NGL and other emerging technologies. The manager will work with business owners to define the requirements of each project and translate those requirements into a system design, select the appropriate technology and deliver a solution that meets those requirements.
Work with business owners to understand and document requirements
Create technical specifications and test plans
Develop SQL data marts to support applications
Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement
Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting issues
Investigate and develop skills in new technologies Job Responsibilities
Oversee and manage a portfolio of projects
Coach and mentor members of the team
Promote effective teamwork and spirit of partnership
Manage daily progress and status of deliverables on projects
Lead a team to advise clients on the complex issues surrounding operational and financial events
Identify opportunities for efficiencies in process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
Lead team problem solving efforts and implement solutions to solve client challenges
Develop familiarity with information across multiple internal systems and technical capabilities
Responsible for project documentation, status reporting, and work planning
Gather and document project requirements from a combination of clients and NGT CoE Leaders
Create and own process documentation for technical processes
Obtain and extract information required for analysis from Firm systems
What you ll bring to the table
Education / Experience Requirements:
- 8 years of relative work experience and bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Management
Capability and Skill Requirements:
Demonstrated capabilities in:
Proven experience with information management and relational data concepts
Ability to research and analyze data from internal and external sources
Possess strong communications, problem solving and project management skills
Team leader with the ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
Ability to work within a virtual team
Self-motivated and able to complete projects without continual supervision
Able to juggle multiple tasks and timelines
Experience working with financial data and metrics
Experience working both independently and with teams
Experience working remotely
Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
