Work you'll do
As an Analyst, you will perform computer forensic services which may include digital evidence collection, preservation, analysis, data recovery, electronic mail extraction, and database examination.
Day to day job responsibilities can include:
Perform comprehensive technical analyses and interpretations of computer-related evidence such as e-mail and information stored on electronic devices
Examine Macintosh and Windows operating systems, PC hardware and mobile devices
Learn Data Intake procedures pertaining to forensic applications and concepts
Maintain detailed written work logs and case documentation following forensic procedures
Track and record project workflow and milestones as required
Maintain chain of custody during transfer of physical evidence
Perform data transfers preserving original metadata of native files
Restore files and catalogue data
Create directory structure and listings for analysis
Communicate security concerns effectively to Computer Forensic Lead
Perform quality control of work product
Liaise regularly with Computer Forensic Lead to discuss progress, provide status updates and raise issues/concerns
Attend team meetings and assist with meeting preparation
Provide coverage for the EDSC's 24X7 operation by working days, nights, or weekends, including holidays.

Since 2008, Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory has operated an innovative high-tech facility in Hermitage, TN for e-discovery and computer forensics work. The Electronic Discovery Solutions Center (EDSC) is considered a leader in the industry and continues to increase capacity, quality, and efficiency of Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory's electronic file processing by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies in a dedicated environment. The EDSC is a 24x7, 365 days a year operation, and we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Discovery practice and help drive the success of the EDSC.
Typically, the team has a 1st, 2nd and weekend shift representative. The hours for this role will start off as regular weekday hours (Monday - Friday) from 9:00 - 6:00 pm CST or 8:00 - 5:00 pm CST. Once role holder is sufficiently autonomous, there may be an expectation to move him/her to weekend, 2nd shift or a hybrid of the two depending on the team needs. 2nd shift is 12:00pm - 9:00 pm CST. Weekend Shift includes Saturday and Sunday and is 8:00am - 6:00 pm CST. A hybrid would be a 4 day schedule and includes weekdays 10:00am - 9:00pm CST and weekend 8:00am - 6:00 pm CST.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operative and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot and learn customized proprietary software
A strong understanding of Windows-based applications including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to travel up to 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Undergraduate degree in the following majors with relevant analytics or data management focused coursework desired:
Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems
