Deloitte Backup and Recovery Administrator in Hermitage, Tennessee

Work you'll do

  • Responsible for server infrastructure and hosting application's backup and recovery

  • Configure and maintaining backup schedules

  • Systems administration, ongoing maintenance, upgrades, Business Continuity (BCP), Data and File System protections and recovery

  • Document procedures and coordinate activities with local and remote team members and customers

  • Responsible for managing tape-storage media and disk-based backup appliances

  • Backup protected server's data regularly

  • Backup environment monitoring

  • Comply with the Deloitte approved data retention policies

  • On-call support 24x7 as required including evening and weekend

    Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen and able to work in US Federal environments

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments

  • 5+ years of experience with a leading backup and recovery technology such as Veeam, IBM Spectrum Protect, Commvault or equivalent

  • 5+ years of experience in the IT field

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows systems administration to include application installation and upgrades, performance monitoring, backups and restores

  • Experienced with an enterprise backup application such as but not limited to IBM Spectrum Protect, Veeam Backup & Replication, Azure Backup, AWS Backup

  • Experienced troubleshooting and resolving common backup failures

  • Strong problem-solving skills in large and complex environments

  • VERY strong analytical, logistical, troubleshooting skills and demonstrate an understanding of complex problem-solving techniques

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written

  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic fast paced environment with rapid technology changes and complex customer demands

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with limited supervision

  • Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks

  • Ability and willingness to learn new technology such as but not limited to Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS Backup Services, Veeam, IBM Spectrum Protect

  • Strong experience in a Microsoft centric environment

  • Experience with MS Office desktop applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Automation and Scripting skills with PowerShell, Python, PHP, JavaScript or some form of programing experience on any platform

  • Working knowledge with Linux platforms

  • Experience using helpdesk ticketing systems such as Service Now or equivalent
