Life Sciences Compliance & Operations Manager - Solution Delivery Manager

Deloitte is looking for an experienced client management professional to oversee engagement planning, economics, and delivery operations for multiple life sciences clients (e.g., pharmaceutical, medical device companies) for their life sciences compliance solution.
The Life Sciences Compliance Manager will be responsible for:
Planning and executing engagements to meet client expectations and financial targets
Managing project operations including deployment/staffing, performance management, and development
Improving engagement profitability and understanding fundamental risk management to mitigate known and/or anticipated challenges
Supporting business development team in identifying growth opportunities, creating sales materials, and shaping growth strategies
Work you will do
Work with Delivery teams to drive successful account operations by keeping balance between clients' expectations and delivery realities
Participate in or contribute to pre-sales activities within the function including:
Creating/designing content for pursuits
Assist in developing pricing models for review by solution leadership
Supporting proposal efforts
Contribute to presentations and materials that explain the value proposition for the life sciences compliance solution
Become familiar with solution's capabilities and aware of broader Deloitte capabilities
Provide life sciences subject-matter expertise on pursuits and proofs of concept
Identify, define, and articulate new solutions, efficiencies, and benefits, in order to increase the services provided to clients to maximize account revenue
Develop life sciences compliance eminence within Deloitte and marketplace to support the expansion of services in the marketplace
Participate in the hiring, recruiting, and training of all new individuals/hires within the life sciences compliance offering
Provide mentoring/counseling/coaching, oversight, and support for delivery teams and staff
Account/Contract Management - All aspects of the client contract are understood and delivered to meet or exceed expectations
Serve as the point of contact for a portfolio of clients. Ensure that daily activities are coordinated accurately and delegated to appropriate teams
Responsible for ensuring that SLAs are being achieved
Provide continuous feedback and recommendations on client programs
Responsible for account management oversight which includes but is not limited to client management, staffing, and logistics
Effectively train staff and continuously develop team members aligned to your account(s)
Meet all contract and Deloitte compliance requirements and deliverables for assigned accounts
Identify, respond to, and resolve any client issues in a timely manner
Interface with Deloitte's IT resources to deliver on all clients' technological needs as applicable
Maximize project productivity by ensuring staff is utilized efficiently across account team(s)
The successful Manager will demonstrate the following attributes:
Demonstrated project management experience
Proven experience coaching and developing staff
Experience creating project and team goals and align team around those goals
History of success with developing and maintaining client relationships
Consult, organize, and communicate client instructions and manage deliverable expectations
Experience with executing cost management against project budgets including:
Managing staff utilization, forecasting, logistics, and minimizing/controlling all travel costs, and other direct client related costs while maintaining highest quality standards
Ensuring timely invoicing and collections from account team
Reviewing account engagements to ensure revenue and costs are accurately reflected and tracking in line with expectations. Support leadership in identifying opportunities for improvement
Exceptional relationship building skills, team player, and cross-constituency facilitation skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
6+ years project management experience in overseeing project delivery operations
5+ years' experience working and managing a team in the Compliance function of a life sciences or healthcare organization (or similar role at a consulting firm specializing in life sciences compliance activities)
Bachelor's degree required in business, finance, or related field
Solid understanding of industry standards for ethics and compliance risks within the life sciences industry
Knowledge of life science processes, controls and regulatory requirements in core areas (e.g., FDA, False Claims Act, anti-bribery and corruption, transparency reporting).
Proficiency with all current technology and Microsoft Office programs, including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Team
Ability to travel up to 20%, as needed, based on the work you do and the clients you serve. Travel may include meetings and site visits (both driving and air travel) as required by the client. Overnight stays may be required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Experience in compliance program strategy and transformational initiatives between business units and corporate risk and compliance functions is strongly preferred
Prior Consulting experience
Certificate in Project Management (PMP)
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $77,250 - $190,088. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
