DeloitteConsulting's GPS Engagement Controller group is comprised of client serviceprofessionals specializing in program management, risk mitigation, account andengagement economics, profitability optimization, and compliance servicesthroughout the full project lifecycle, from the pursuit phase through projectcloseout. GPS Engagement Controllers support client engagement team(s) byassisting with initiating and controlling organizational aspects of projects.Their greatest value is in the understanding and application of engagementbusiness and financial processes both to individual engagements and to clientaccounts.

Work you ll do

GPS AnalystEngagement Controllers (ECs) are responsible for supporting one or moreengagement teams through the engagement lifecycle by utilizing standard programmanagement processes and budgetary controls. On any given assignment, AnalystECs may be responsible for the following activities:

Work within a team to support one or more client engagementteams to monitor and control engagement financials (staffing, spend,profitability);

Support project management office (PMO) functional tasks andday-to-day contract management activities;

Understand and utilize standard processes for projectmanagement, quality management, and risk management;

Interact periodically with indirect finance team to ensure thatFinancial Reporting is in line with Engagement operations;

Provide support for engagement leadership ad hoc requests;

Contribute to the growth and development of the overall GPSEngagement Controller Practice through active involvement in one or morepractice initiatives

Theteam

Our GPS engagementcontroller practice helps clients define what they need and how it can bedelivered, and are an integral part of the successful delivery of engagements.We work with clients to define project scope in as much detail as possibleusing advanced budgeting, forecasting and program management techniques. Weensure that financial reporting, invoicing, contract management, pricing, andrisk management activities are routinely executed in order to update projectleadership with the financial health of the engagement.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, BusinessManagement, or a related area;

0 years experience in a PMO or financial analysis role

0 years experience with the entire Microsoft Office Suite,including intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Experience summarizing results and producing management reports

Experience soliciting data from and presenting results to SeniorLeadership

Proven oral and written communication skills, includingexcellent presentation skills

Demonstrated attention to detail and adherence to projectdeadlines

Proven ability to work effectively, both independently and as amember of a team

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-pacedenvironment

Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%

Preferred:

Experience withDeltek Costpoint

Experience workingwith a Federal or State government contracts

Experience inworking and collaborating with international teams

Experience in aclient service environment; consulting experience is preferred

Experience with MSProject applications
