Service Delivery Data Engineer

Work you ll do

As a Service Delivery Data Engineer, you ll manage the delivery of customer experience & marketing data solutions for our clients. You ll work with the development team performing the technical implementation of customer data platforms (CDPs) and serve as a key player as it relates to data management, with a heavy involvement in advanced down-stream implementations for build projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create technical specifications to drive development of the solution

  • Teaming with engagement managers to communicate project status, risk and issues to clients as appropriate

  • Engaging cloud solution engineers and other domain-specific SMEs (Adobe, Salesforce, Oracle, Google and similar) to support platform implementation as needed

  • Coordinating Testing/SIT/UAT activities as required by project scope and team structure

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years of related technical experience building data management solutions

  • 2 years of experience building databases within relational and non-relational data engines (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, MongoDB, MariaDB, Hadoop, Snowflake, Big Query, and similar)

  • 2 years of experience with data model design and optimization

  • 2 years of understanding and experience building ETL workflows for data processing and hygiene (Informatica, Talend, Spark, Pentaho, SSIS, and similar

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred

  • Experience with Programming and Scripting Languages (.NET, Python, Powershell, Java, Batch, Bash and similar)

  • Prefer experience working with public cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and similar)

  • Prefer hands-on experience with native public cloud services (AWS Lambda, Glue, S3, Data Pipeline; Azure Functions, Batch, Blob Storage, Data Factory; Google Cloud Platform Functions, Composer, Storage; and similar)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate complex technology concepts with technical and non-technical individuals

  • Ability to approach a technical solution to solve for challenges from a business perspective

  • Understanding and experience working with customer centric data and how to define uses for this data to enable business goals

  • Understanding of the full SDLC process

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Experience using C#, Java or Python

  • Experience and knowledge digital marketing analytics

  • Experience with Martech/Adtech tools and how to integrate technologies into the data management solution. (Adobe, Salesforce, Oracle, Google, and similar)

  • Experience in advanced analytics\machine learning concepts\use cases and how to apply this technology to customer experience & marketing solutions (predictive modeling, recommendation personalization, channel optimization)

  • Experience working with public cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and similar)

  • GCP - (Cloud Functions, Composer, SQL, Storage, Dataproc, Datastore, Kubernetes, Big Query, Stackdriver, Pub/Sub)

  • AWS (Lambda, Glue, Data Pipeline, Redshift, Aurora, Athena/Spectrum, S3/Glacier, Fargate, Cloud Watch, Kinesis)

  • Azure - (Functions, Batch, Blob Storage, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Containers, Monitor, Service Bus)
