Work you'll do
As a Consultant within our Workforce Transformation team you will:
Provide strategic and technical employee benefit consulting services to plan sponsors (e.g., employers, state, county, and city governments, health & welfare funds, etc.)
Conduct employee benefits diagnostic/planning studies
Assist with preparing managed care plan design and pricing studies
Help conduct competitive vendor search and selection initiatives
Assist with preparing financial projections and COBRA rate development
Review health plan performance, including reviewing and negotiating policy year settlements and premium rate/administrative fee renewals
Assist in preparing client presentations and reports

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree required
3 years of experience as a benefits consultant
Experience with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint
Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this role
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Willingness to travel at least 50%
Preferred:
Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
Advanced degree in a related discipline
Experience reviewing health plan performance
Experience preparing financial/budget projections
Technical background in underwriting and other areas of health care finance
Strong understanding of health care plan design and alternative delivery systems, including consumer directed health plans with HRAs and HSAs
Knowledge of plan design and pricing of other health & welfare benefit plans (e.g., life, disability, dental, etc.)
CEBS Designation or Actuarial credentials
