Work you'll do
This position is responsible for managing, designing, developing, and implementing solutions for ServiceNow as part of the Service, Asset, and Configuration Management (SACM) team. The ServiceNow Discovery Lead will partner with various stakeholders and cross functional teams to address complex business issues. Must be proficient in written and verbal communications.
Primary responsibility is to support a variety of ServiceNow Discovery/CMDB administration tasks
Setup and administration and maintenance of MID servers as required
Add/update/remove Discovery credentials
Create/update/remove Discovery ranges and schedules
Monitor CMDB health and resolve conflicts between data sources. Interpret Discovery logs and data to diagnose issues.
Build and support integrations with data sources other than ServiceNow Discovery
Create/update/remove identification and reconciliation rules
Produces management information, including KPIs and status reports, with an operational and a management focus
Improve ServiceNow Discovery and remediate blockers of Service Mapping for CMDB inventory
Manage Discovery processes and scripting of CIs in the Configuration Management system
Administrate, maintain, manage, and resolve issues that arise with data and MID servers related to Discovery
Improve process and procedures in Discovery scripting
Work with process owners to engineer holistic solutions
Implement and support out of box and applicable custom patterns to discover on premise and cloud infrastructure
Work collaboratively across business and technology services organization to evolve and mature the CMDB
Responsible for reporting key KPIs and metrics

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or comparable technical education and/or professional equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience working on the development of CMDB platform
Knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery
Direct experience as a ServiceNow Administrator or Developer
Operational experience of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Service Management (ITSM)
Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB
Minimum 2+ year of developing integrations with the ServiceNow platform
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
2 year of experience working within an ITIL framework or similar Operations model
Hands on experience configuring core ServiceNow modules including Discovery
ServiceNow Fundamentals certification preferred
ServiceNow Platform Implementation certification preferred
