The US Core Industry Solutions Offering encompasses industry vertical, sector specific solutions that leverage distinct technologies to drive operational change and automate the core our client's business. We incorporate expertise from across the firm to leverage common approaches, best practices, and strategic investments to scale these solutions according to industry strategy. We are looking for a Systems Engineer to assist in designing both new products and new features to existing products. Activities include: analyzing and proposing target state architecture, completing AoAs (Analysis of Alternatives) for architectural designs as well as different technologies to achieve proposed designs, working on an embedded team with developers, testers, and business owners to elaborate on requirements, and documenting solution designs. Prior development and web applications experience is preferred with knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON message formats, and Java frameworks (e.g. Spring Core, Spring Web MVC, Log4J, Apache Commons, and ReactJS). Cloud architecture and technology knowledge is also preferred, specifically with AWS Cloud.

Work you'll do/Responsibilities

  • Support the definition of epics and user stories for each Agile Sprint

  • Support the Engineering teams with updates and input to the Simplified Design Specification Report (SDSR) documentation in adherence to Enterprise standards as required by Solutions Engineering

  • Support the Engineering teams with updates and input to the Interface Control Document (ICD) documentation in adherence to Enterprise standards as required by Solutions Engineering

  • Support the Engineering teams with updates and input to Vision, Scope, and Architecture (VSA) documentation in adherence to Enterprise standards as required by Enterprise Architecture

  • Support Feature Development Teams (FDTs) in the identification of pragmatic solutions to address implementation challenges that arise to minimize technical debt

  • Support input to - and refinement of - the Performance Engineering Model (PEM) based on test results for current and anticipated Web Apps products in conjunction with the performance team as required.

  • Support the discovery of data needs, design of data structures, and data flows, including input to the conceptual and logical design of systems as they relate to both data and applications

  • Support the development of conceptual and logical solutions for desired products, features, and platform architectures to capture software requirements from a business perspective and develop tangible acceptance criteria for developer and testers to perform in epics, stories, and tasks

  • Conduct technical reviews on application design artifacts, epics/user stories/tasks, test plans, test results, deployment plans, and tabletop scenarios in support of Web Apps

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 4+yearsoffull stack software development with an emphasis on designing, implementing, testing and delivering highly scalable web and client/server solutions

  • Skills and experience in:

  • Agile Project Methodology

  • Web Application Architecture

  • Web Services (RESTful APIs / JSON)

  • Java EE Architecture

  • Java Spring Framework

  • Systems Engineering

  • Technical Documentation (MS Word/Visio/PowerPoint)

  • Must live within a commutable distance, or be willing to relocate to, the Lake Mary, FL; Gilbert, AZ; or Mechanicsburg, PA areas

  • Must be in your designated office location 10%-30% of each work week

  • Ability to travel 10% on average, based on the work you do, the clients you serve and industries/sectors you serve.

  • Must be able to work without the need for employment sponsorship, now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior development experience is preferred (Knowledge of Java Frameworks such as Spring Core/Security/Batch, Hibernate, Log4J, and Apache Commons, Apache Camel, Angular JS/React).

  • Experience in the Healthcare Sector

  • Experience with HL7 FHIR

  • IRS experience and/or an existing IRS clearance is a plus
