Work you ll do

A Sr. Solution Advisor must have strong knowledge of clinical operations, medical coding/health information management or both. This role will be responsible for the following:

  • Demonstrating an overall knowledge of the healthcare industry and specifically knowledge of clinical documentation and inpatient coding

  • Conduct remote clinical documentation and/or inpatient coding assessments for clients.

  • Delivering services that meet Deloitte & Touche's engagement leader specifications.

  • Writing of various reports related to engagements.

  • Contributing to a positive team attitude.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years clinical documentation or inpatient coding/health information management experience in a hospital setting.

  • Associates degree in Health Information Management, nursing or other clinical area required.

  • Relevant prior experience performing clinical documentation improvement work is preferred.

  • Ability to evaluate clinical documentation to assess if it supports inpatient coding assignment.

  • Ability to work remotely with various teams and supporting multiple projects

  • Coding knowledge of CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding (certification preferred).

  • Strong skills in analytical and critical thinking, project management, writing, problem solving and communication.

  • Proficient written and oral communication skills to conduct training for physicians, nurses and coders about above topics.

  • Experience with federal and state regulatory requirements, regulatory compliance, and billing requirements is a plus.

Additional US Delivery Center Requirements:

  • Must be willing to live and work in the Phoenix/Gilbert, Arizona area.
