Work you'll do As a Communications Solution Manager in the Organizational Transformation practice of Deloitte's USDC Human Capital group, you will perform the following job responsibilities:

• Advise on development of communication strategies, plans and approaches for commercial and government clients

• Provide subject matter expertise to project teams to ensure plans and approaches are accurate, align with industry standards, and incorporate Deloitte's best practices

• Manage communications workstreams and teams from initial client meetings and concept development through development, review, revision, production, distribution, and evaluation

• Provide quality assurance, project management and performance management leadership for multiple project teams simultaneously

• Conduct quality management reviews on a broad range of communication materials for a variety of audiences across multiple communication channels, including print, digital, multimedia, social networks, and web

• Conduct quality management reviews for a variety of engaging, well-designed communications materials, including emails, infographics, podcasts, video scripts, responsive email templates, social media posts, website wireframes, and other digital/multimedia communications

• Proofread/edit communications deliverables and provide quality control

• Monitor plan and approach results, analyze key metrics, and optimize for continued campaign improvement

• Identify and recommend creative ideas that will deliver on strategic goals

• Balance multiple assignments and schedule workload to meet established deadlines

• Manage client relationships and facilitate client sessions, workshops and interviews

• Develop project workplans and timelines, document assumptions and dependencies, identify risks, suggest mitigation strategies and manage workplans to execution

• Keep abreast of communication trends

• Participate in presentations to other functional groups within the firm and engage in eminence-building activities within Human Capital

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or other related field

• 9+ years of related professional experience in communications, change management or other related fields

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills

• Ability to think creatively and conceptually, with a passion for storytelling

• Strong creative, writing, editing, organizational, and strategic planning skills and a willingness to learn from others

• Experience with change management and communication strategies

• Experience in the consulting or advisory fields

• Project management support and workplan development experience

• Presentation experience and understanding of digital, print, and video communication channels

• Must thrive in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and follow through

• Ability to lead, mentor and coach junior staff

• Ability to work well with others in a team environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

• Willingness to travel up to 20 percent (while 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

M ust live near, or relocate to, to the Gilbert, AZ, Mechanicsburg, PA, or Lake Mary, FL delivery center(s)

  • Ability and willingness to acquire U.S. Security Clearance preferred, but not required

    • Experience with social marketing and mobile communications campaigns

    • Master's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field

    • Experience with video development tools (Vyond, Videoscribe, Adobe Premiere)

    • Experience with audio development tools (Audacity, Adobe Audition)

    • Experience with design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign)

    • Experience with Google Suite

  • Creativity, self-confidence, and flexibility

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement

  • Effective listening skills and attention to detail
