Technical Integrator / Lead Full Stack Developer

The GPS Digital Customer offering helps public sector clients transform their businesses and customer interactions through innovative digital experiences. We work with our clients to create, design and deploy digital products that increase adoption and drive measurable results.

Work you'll do:

• Split time between thinking through the user requirements of a design problem and implementing it

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to build and deliver custom-built software solutions

• Support a portfolio of applications from a holistic standpoint in order to understand various complex product requirements, mitigate challenges and integrate software

• Support technical teams as a lead by enforcing best practices, coding standards and consistency across multiple delivery teams

• Support the development of conceptual and logical solutions for desired products, features, and platform architectures to capture software requirements from a business perspective and develop tangible acceptance criteria for developer and testers to perform in epics, stories, and tasks

• Support agile teams as a technical lead in the identification of pragmatic solutions to address implementation challenges that arise to minimize technical debt

• Use a test-first development approach to integrate React Testing Library, Junit testing and JaCoCo / Sonarqube code coverage reporting into the Jenkins build process

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of experience using Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE / J2EE)

• Experience with Java Hibernate and Spring Framework

• Experience coding Microservices in Java

• React front end development experience

• Expertise in full web stack development; creating and consuming REST APIs, expertise in tools, techniques and frameworks like Hibernate, event-drive architecture, and service orchestration

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

• Ability to travel 20 - 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

• Experience as a technical lead and with mentoring junior developers

• Practical DevOps knowledge with build jobs, containerization, and deploying web applications in the cloud

• Experience working with data scientists and integrating analytical models

• Experience developing GraphQL APIs and gRPC services (Node or Python a plus)

• Agile development on a scrum team

• Test driven development and behavior driven development

• Server-less application development with Google or AWS
