Work you'll do

  • Utilize IAM (Identity and Access Management) programs to enable federal clients to protect against digital identity risks.

  • Provide appropriate access to applications, systems, and data with advanced authentication.

  • Oversee the spread of information with privileged access management.

  • Verify identity utilizing a wide range of IAM solutions including HSPD-12, PIV, and advanced authentication methods.

As a SailPoint engineer, the team member will execute the end-to-end implementation of SailPoint IdentityIQ in an AWS GovCloud environment for the Department of the Navy. This role may grow into a Senior Consultant/Specialist position (if desired) as additional staff are onboarded. This project does have an established SSB/SSD + Accelerator Pack codebase but requires modification and maintenance. This will be a full deployment to a new cloud environment. Responsibilities include supporting:

• The Services Standard Build (SSB) / Services Standard Deployment (SSD) configuration

• Maintenance to workflows (Joiner / Mover / Leaver / Approval process)

• Integration with authoritative sources

• Integration with applications for provisioning (e.g., SAP ERP, LDAP, JDBC, AD)

• Implementation of RBAC

• Implementation of Policies (e.g., training, Segregation of Duties (SOD))

• Unit testing of code

• Managing the source code repository (git, branching, releases, etc.)

• Attending client stakeholder meetings to confirm design, collaborate on integration, support user acceptance testing

• Respond to support requests not fielded by the help desk

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role

  • Experience working with IAM

  • Experience working with identity governance

  • Experience working with HSPD-12

  • Experience utilizing advanced authentication

    • Must be SailPoint aware and/or have Java development experience
    • 1+ years of experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ implementation, O&M, integration, capability enhancements, and upgrades
  • 1+ years of experience using Java (or Beanshell)

  • 1+ Years of experience implementing SailPoint

  • Experience with role mining, role-based access control and access certification with SailPoint IdentityIQ

  • Knowledge of business process analysis and optimization

  • Knowledge of cloud computing models (e.g., SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), zero trust security models, and mobile computing

  • Knowledge of deployments of SailPoint IdentityIQ (Good keywords: Services Standard Build / SSB / Services Standard Deployment / SSD)


  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience

  • Previous identity analytics experience

  • Experience in consumer identity and directory services

  • Certifications (e.g., CCNA Security; CySA+; GICSP; GSEC; Security+ CE; CND; SSCP; CASP+ CE; CCNP Security; CISA; CISSP (or Associate); GCED; GCIH)
