Deloitte Conflicts Center of Excellence Sr. Manager in Foster City, California
The Conflicts Center of Excellence supports our audit engagement teams in meeting their compliance requirements related to identifying potential conflicts of interest. We are seeking professionals who want to build off their existing experience in audit, accounting or independence compliance. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Manager in the Conflicts CoE, you will be the subject matter expert on various technical aspects related to Independence and Conflicts regulations and policies.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing guidance and expertise to audit engagement teams with Conflicts and Independence policies and procedures to audit engagement teams
Developing practices and procedures as the CoE scales to a broader population of audit engagement teams
Assessing services and relationships to prioritize by risk
Evaluating potential conflicts
Engagement with the global Independence & Conflicts Network as needed
Engagement with Enterprise Portfolio Management team as needed
Reviewing and providing feedback to team members in the US and India
Supporting the development of educational materials on Conflicts-related considerations for engagement teams
The team
The Conflicts CoE team performs a critical quality-assurance and risk-management function for the Deloitte U.S. firm, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts-of-interest, in fact and appearance, when providing service to attest/audit clients within a PEI complex. Independence requirements are defined by specific sets of policies, external rules, and regulations, so maintaining both the independence of the Deloitte U.S. firm and its professionals is essential to the business and reputation of Deloitte.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors' degree or equivalent
8+ years of experience
Experience in public accounting, including professional standards related to conflicts of interest or auditor independence
Familiarity with SEC, PCAOB and AICPA regulations related to Independence
Experience with process implementation and continuous improvement
Demonstrated leadership effectiveness
Preferred:
Experience collaborating deeply across disciplines - audit, consulting, advisory, technical groups, technology, research, teams
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $104,575 to $171,790.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
