Deloitte Systems Engineer (TS/SCI Polygraph Required) in Fort Meade, Maryland

Work you'll do
As a Deloitte Engineer, you will:
Provide functional support, system testing, Tier 1 technical support, and subject matter expertise for Oracle PeopleSoft based personnel security applications.
Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities.
Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
Develop technical documentation, system architecture and system design documentation.
Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
Have ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

The Systems Engineering offering is comprised of experienced professionals who help guide clients through their most complex technology challenges. This can include the delivery of large scale software applications & integrated systems, the development of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integrations solutions, and the delivery of technology enablement to support CIO services transformation. Our Systems Engineering offering focuses on key client issues that impact the core business, provide operational value, drive down the cost of quality, and enhance technology innovation.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science or other technical field.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
8+ Knowledge of system administration processes for the Maryland customer, including STE/STN and UAM.
Strong Linux systems administration experience.
Experience managing network devices.
Experience creating and managing segmented networks.
Experience managing software defined networks.
Experience with shell scripting or programming in python/bash (or other programming)
6+ years experience in systems engineering
Ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred:
Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Familiarity with Agile processes and structures and able to work on a software development team.
Ability to solve complex problems, improve business operations, and manage the complexity inherent with technology change.
