Work you'll do
As a Deloitte Database Administrator, you will administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the availability, performance, and integrity of the company database.
Perform database housekeeping, such as tuning, indexing, etc.
Assist data modeling to design and implement data structures which meet the business requirement for timely, accurate data
Promote data quality and enforce data integrity
Administer database availability and performance, including incident and problem management
Resolve database performance issues, capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues
Determine user requirements, set up and test computer databases, and coordinate changes
Interact with development and end-user personnel to determine application data access requirements, transaction rates, volume analysis, and other pertinent data required to develop and maintain integrated databases.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science or other technical field
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
3+ years experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft DBA
Understanding of and adherence to Oracle's Best-Practices for DBA and security
3+ years experience with systems administration, UNIX/Linux/Windows shell or Windows PowerShell scripting
3+ years experience with development tools and languages (PL/SQL, Java, Python, etc.)
Conceptual understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery
Knowledge of administration or conceptual understanding of Oracle Database technologies:
Data Guard
Automated Storage Management
Flashback
Recovery Manager
Transparent Application Failover
Oracle Connection Manager
Patching and maintenance
Oracle Cloud Control (OEM)
Security+ is required within six months of joining the team
Ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
Experience working within the IC
3+ years experience with PeopleSoft
Ability to solve complex problems, improve business operations, and manage the complexity inherent with technology change
