Deloitte System Engineer – Data Modeling in Falls Church, Virginia
Work you ll do
The data engineer is responsible for the management software and system development activities associated with data modeling and warehousing for the Solutions Delivery Division (SDD) Program Support Branch (PSB) Electronic Health Records Core Program Management Office (EHR Core PMO). The engineering will need to have extensive experience in systems engineering or software development, project management and have software implementation and administration skills. The engineer must have lead software engineering or software development or system engineering projects (preferred), possess working knowledge of network topology and web services principle and procedures.
Demonstrate the ability to perform with minimal or no supervision.
Knowledge of DOD acquisition and system engineering procedures.
Thorough understanding of IT management, software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile (optional), systems engineering principles and systems implementation.
Strong interpersonal skills and have good client relationship building techniques.
He or she should bring high technology experience to professional engagements, along with broad functional expertise.
Experience leading system engineering, software development, and implement.
Supported large software or systems engineering initiatives in private or public sectors.
Working experience or training as BI Architect/Developer/Administrator in leading BI development.
Experience as a SQL Server, Access Database, Oracle, Database Designer/Data Modeler, and Business Intelligence in a variety of client/server software environments.

Our Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.
Systems Engineering professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future and maintain a security clearance (public trust).
Bachelor s degree and Minimum of 6 years experience in data analysis or modeling or design and familiarity working with SQL and Relational Database is required.
Previous experience working with data models, data warehouse, data analytics is strongly preferred.
Experience with Visual Studios, Microsoft Excel, and Azure DevOps.
Demonstrates skills to produce relevant solution design artifacts including but not limited to: technical estimates, sequence diagrams, data models and conceptual logical and physical system designs.
Have experience with database design, database management and data transformation.
Have knowledge of various software development methodologies (including agile techniques).
Identify data migration themes and quality patterns represented in the data.
Participation in implementation, support, and/or maintenance of a large healthcare clinical Information System required.
Strong consulting, customer service, and interpersonal skills required across a wide range of customers within all levels in the organization.
