Work you'll do
Expert assistance for program integration and support for the Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Division and the respective grant programs.

Together we create more resilient communities and responsive ecosystems through incident action planning, grant risk assessments, improving grant processes and operations, future and contingency planning, and data analytics.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree required
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
Minimum of 15 years of grants management experience at the state and/or federal level with:
Hazard Mitigation
Possess knowledge on the technical aspects of the federal grant program and will be expected to exercise independent judgement within the limits of applicable Federal and State statutes, regulations, policies and procedures
Experience with Government Accounting, Grant Monitoring, and Procedure Development
Experience advising federal, state, or local government stakeholders on strategies to prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises
Preferred:
Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment; provide rigorous, creative insight in complex situations; and exhibit advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage technology to solve problems
Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
Proficiency in word processing, s preadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
