Location: US - Flexible

Position Reports to: Analytics Lead

Travel: Infrequent (e.g. once every few months)

Leads advanced analytical projects to develop insights and recommendations for key leadership across Deloitte Consulting

Role Description

The Consulting Operations & Finance team provides analytical and finance services in support of the Deloitte Consulting Executive Committee. Within Operations & Finance, the Analytics team specializes in providing a forward-looking perspective and helping leadership to make key business decisions. This role will be responsible for leading and supporting a range of deep analytical and predictive modeling projects that drive strategic objectives and improve business performance.

Good communication, strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills are required to be successful in this role. This role creates great value for the business by providing high quality, actionable recommendations in support of business decision making and performance improvement.

Job Responsibilitie s

In providing finance-related services to the business

  • Designs and implements predictive and statistical models to forecast future business performance

  • Analyzes internal and external data to understand performance drivers and identify improvement opportunities

  • Examines Deloitte Consulting s businesses from different perspectives, finding new analytical insights, while establishing analytics as a sustainable, world-class capability

  • Works across Deloitte Consulting s businesses to support the Enabling Areas and Business Functions in a variety of special and complex analytics projects

  • Communicate analysis and recommendations in a clear, succinct manner and produce leadership-quality deliverables that explain, present and analyze the financial performance and plans of the business

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Cognitive Science, Statistics or related field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with focus on advanced analytics and predictive modeling

  • Deep knowledge about machine learning algorithms such as random forests, clustering, logistic regression, etc

  • Advanced computer knowledge with experience in statistical modeling and data visualization tools (e.g., SAS Analytics, R, DataRobot, Tableau)

  • Communications: Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to create as well as deliver effective presentations

  • Accountability for Results: Holds self and others accountable for ensuring that results are achieved; Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision; Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibility; Sets high expectations for self and others

  • Providing Exceptional Client Service: Manages self and others to provide exceptional client service by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality, accountability, and integrity

  • Problem Solving: Ability to work in a dynamic environment that requires critical thinking and strong analytical skills

  • Generates innovative ideas that are sound and progressive; Challenges the status quo; Fosters creativity throughout area of responsibility

Technology or Other Requirements

  • Experience with data visualization, statistical modeling and data mining tools.

  • Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
