Deloitte Controllership Services | Sr. Consultant / Manager in Denver, Colorado

Areyou looking to assist Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), Chief AccountingOfficers (CAOs), Controllers, and business unit finance leaders to help solvecomplex financial accounting and reporting issues? Our team of specialists has been delivering innovativeand forward-thinking solutions to tackle these common challenges. As a member of our team, youwill help clients achieve this through the following areas:

  1. Accounting & Reporting Advisory (e.g.,technical and operational accounting advice, new standard implementation)

  2. Digital Core (e.g., SAP S4 HANA,Hyperion, Cognos)

  3. Robotic & Purpose-built Automation (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Blackline, Trintech, Workiva,OneStream)

  4. Analytics & Insights (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx)

Workyou ll do

  • Know the Business and the Industry -Build in-depth knowledge of the client s business and stay up-to-date on industry activities, marketplace trends, innovation efforts, and leading practices

  • Drive Performance -Deliver exceptional client service; maximize results and drive high performance from people while fostering collaboration across businesses and borders

  • Influence -Influence clients, teams, and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing confident relationships with increasingly senior people

  • Develop Talent -Develop high-performing people and teams through challenging and meaningful opportunities

  • Set Strategic Direction -Understand key objectives for clients and Deloitte, align people to objectives and set priorities and direction

  • Assess and Mitigate Risk -Advise clients on establishing or improving end-to-end risk management systems, processes, and frameworks to enhance strategic alignment with business goals, enable effective decision making & response, and monitor regulatory compliance

  • Report and Present -Increase quality, accuracy, and impact of reports and presentations by leveraging critical thinking, experience, and judgment

  • Develop Executive Presence -Develop relationships, establish credibility with, and instill confidence in clients

We work with organizationsto help themreduce risk andimprove internal and external reporting capabilities to meet accounting andregulatory requirements, and/or enhance strategic decision making. Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications. Advanced degree preferred.

  • 3 years of experience assessing business processes, particularly within Finance/Accounting, as well as creating business process documentation (narratives, process flows, etc) using tools like Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Up to 80% travel (typically Monday Thursday)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at anytime in the future

  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and SEC rules and regulations

  • Experience of Understanding of IT environment infrastructures and experience with enterprise wide software implementations

  • CPA, CIA, CFA, CA, CCA, CMA, CAIA or FRM certification, or working towards achieving one of these certifications.

  • Experience with a varietyof tools and programming languages such as, but not limitedto:

  • Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDb

  • Languages (e.g., SQL, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, C#, C ,VBA, VB.Net, ASP.Net, HTML,SAS)

  • Reporting Tools (e.g., Business Objects, ReportingServices)

  • Big Data Tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Impala,Mahout)

  • Machine Learning/Cognitive (e.g., Python, Mahout,CognitiveScale

  • Predictive Analytics/Data Mining: (e.g., IBM SPSS, SAS Enterprise Miner, RPL, Python,Matlab)

  • Data Visualization Tools (e.g. QlikView, Tableau, PowerBi)

  • Enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, etc.)

  • RPA tools such as UIPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and WorkFusion

  • Automation solutions (BlackLine, Trintech, Workiva, Host Analytics, etc.)
