Position: CONSULTANT, Retail Cash Management Trainer
Location: 100% Field-Based Travel
This position is a field based role that includes the execution of retail store training programs centered around the operation of cash handling and use of unique cash processing equipment. We are looking for motivated, ambitious individuals who are looking to travel, work independently, and work off-peak hours. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for training others and be able to conduct training of store managers and associates. The Consultant will be delivering training at a specified site location across multiple store shifts in a day, typically early morning and evening hours. This can vary depending upon client need.
The Consultant must have excellent judgment and analytical abilities, be well-spoken, and have the ability to lead discussions with clients on business priorities in a friendly, helpful and professional manner. In carrying out his/her duties, the Consultant will be expected to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment.
This is a temporary position that is estimated to last approximately 15 weeks; openings for this position are anticipated for employment beginning in the period from mid to late February 2019, with potential for additional project or permanent work thereafter.
Individuals for this role will also be required to:
Demonstrate the utmost confidence when presenting training materials and when faced with questions while providing empathetic feedback to trainees
Adapt to different varying levels of learning capabilities of trainees and maintain patience with those who will need more attention
o This may require Consultant to spend additional time on site location
Exhibit professional demeanor at all times as an extension of the client and LRA, a Deloitte business
Learn and thoroughly understand the culture and environment of the assigned client
Solve problems swiftly and independently, knowing the appropriate times to escalate when needed
Understand basic accounting principles related to cash handling (preferred)
Training on the client and equipment will be conducted with each consultant upon hire. Prior knowledge of the client or this equipment is not required, though retail, training, or cash handling experience is highly recommended.
Job Duties :
Understand and contribute to the development of the client expectations and conduct the training and coaching sessions.
o The Consultant must be well-versed in each client s business and specific client requirements, the details of cash-handling equipment, and the methods and procedures of LRA by Deloitte
o Responsible for developing and producing accurate and consistent trainings and internal follow-up reports, that include oral and written reports in English. Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
Exercise high level of judgment in evaluating the clients business operations and service, determining and recommending areas of improvement, and determining how to best communicate training and recommendations
Utilize experience in the retail industry to serve as a quality consultant for clients.
Exercise initiative in formulating improvements in established LRA by Deloitte procedures. Provide recommendations to the Senior Consultant and Management to improve consultant tools, worksheets and training materials
Represent the company in important client meetings and interactions, including daily on-site client interactions. Contribute to building strong client relationships through interactions with clients personnel in a professional manner and demonstration of industry and functional knowledge
Attend and contribute to team meetings and conference calls on a regular basis as deemed by the Senior Consultant and Management
Attend and contribute to client meetings and participate in client programs as necessary
Conduct on-site training for general employee groups andcreate a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to ensure operational excellence
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal, in English) with strong analytic and presentation abilities. Bilingual proficiency a plus. Regional language capabilities may be required.
Ability to work independently and without direct supervision, while adhering to strict deadlines
Must be well-spoken, knowledgeable and able to develop and present comprehensive training in a friendly, empathetic and helpful manner
Must be a skillful and fluid communicator, possessing the flexibility to communicate effectively with each client representative and other client personnel in the style and manner that he or she prefers
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment by using industry knowledge and fully comprehending clients business models and needs
