Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior Manager in Dallas, TX.
Work You ll Do
Manage the day-to-day client service relationships, and serve as the gateway to a variety of specialized Deloitte Tax services that help improve compliance with taxing entities while maintaining each client's overall tax risk profile; apply an in-depth understanding of Federal Tax compliance and planning, and work closely with clients to understand each organization's global goals and strategies and how industry and economic trends affect the business; manage tax consulting services to effectively diagnose, solve, develop and implement clients' tax needs; oversee complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries; research and analyze a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions and tax implications of financing techniques; perform tax-planning responsibilities for our corporate and individual clients; supervise assignments by the professional accountants serving as Tax Consultants, Tax Seniors and Tax Managers.
Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Four years of tax compliance and consulting experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Experience must include four years of:
Providing tax planning services and preparing and reviewing client work papers and tax returns;
Providing US GAAP accounting consulting services for Revenue, Joint Interest Billing (JIB), Property, Division of Interest (DOI), and AR/AP;
Preparing cost and percentage tax depletion calculations;
Preparing C-Corporations' and Partnerships' federal, state, and international income tax returns;
Utilizing tax software, including OneSource, GoSystem, and Corptax to prepare federal, state and local, and international income tax returns, and calculate estimated tax and process filings;
Utilizing tax research tools, including LexisNexis, BNA, CCH, and RIA, to provide tax compliance and consulting services to various clients;
Performing analysis for FIN 48, effective tax rate reconciliation, and valuation allowance, as well as preparing tax deferred tax schedules and tax review memos, to properly account for income taxes during the preparation of tax provisions for corporations;
Preparing quarterly estimated tax payments for Corporations, and preparing schedule for federal and state income tax returns and state franchise tax;
Analyzing severance, Ad Valorem, Sales & Use, and 1099 tax issues, and preparing required severance tax returns; and
Assisting Corporations and Partnerships in Internal Revenue Service and state tax examination, and responding to Information Document Requests (IDRs) and drafting memos to analyze and respond to IDRs and various tax notices.
In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree and 6 years experience as noted above.
Position requires 50% travel.
