This is a unique opportunity to be a part of Deloitte Application Studios which is an integral part of the Information Technology Services group. We focus on development and maintenance of technology solutions to enable delivery of Function and Marketplace Services and Management Information Systems.
We develop and maintain solutions built on varied technologies. DAS has various groups which provide the best of the breed solutions to the clients by following a streamlined system development methodology. These groups include Usability, Application Architecture, Development and Quality Assurance and Performance.
In this Application Developer role, you will be part of the Development group and will be responsible for delivering technical solutions. In this role, you will:
Develop, support and maintain applications and technology solutions.
Ensure development efforts meet or exceed client expectations, meeting requirements of scope, functionality, and time while adhering to defined and agreed upon standards.
Become familiar with all development tools, testing tools, methodologies and processes.
Become familiar with the product management methodology and processes.
Encourage collaborative efforts and camaraderie with on-shore and off-shore team members.
Demonstrate a strong working understanding of the industry best standards in software development and version controlling.
Ensure the quality and low bug rates of code released into production.
Assist the Technical Lead with project team duties as required.
Work on agile projects, participate in daily SCRUM calls and provide task updates.
Develop support and other materials, as required.
Develop and maintain internal product documentation.

DAS enables our client service professionals through a comprehensive suite of applications across the business lines. Bachelors degree +5 years of experience (or an advanced degree) in computer science or related area
5 years of experience in software development using 3 or more of the following technologies:
REST API Ajax
ORM (N-Hibernate or Entity Framework)
Automated Unit Testing
Applying Design Patterns, Performance Tuning (C# and SQL), Agile
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field
Previous experience working with:
Experience with Domain Driven Development approach
Previous experience managing the delivery of mid to large web/enterprise applications
Familiarity with Federal financial planning, analytics, reporting, contracting, and government cost accounting requirements
Work experience with 3rd party products designed for Federal Contractors, such as Deltek CostPoint.
Working knowledge of full life-cycle implementation and production support.
Expert level understanding of Data Conversion requirements.
Previous experience working with business application owners and development teams to document and clarify business and user requirements and manage the scope of defined features and functions during the project lifecycle.
Standards and procedures
Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross-functional teams and coordinating across teams in a matrix organization environment.
