What you ll do

As an RPA Enterprise Architect, you will work on high-value enterprises and lead technology strategy across a broad team of cross-functional resources within an enterprise account. You will partner with product managers and own the technical aspects of an engagement and the corresponding executive relationships (e.g. CTO, CIO, architects). Youwill guide the strategic technical direction, operations, and maintenance for Robotic Process Automation products and/or solutions; lead and oversee the development of all RPA projects for a product suite; manage all design and development aspects of the Agile SDLC for multiple RPA projects; and direct, evaluate, and monitor the progress of product / project delivery and facilitate discussions with various departments around architecture and product development.We need someone who is passionate about:

  • Defining and executing technology strategies by engaging highly-technical teams (solutions architects, technical account managers, cloud professional services consultants, and consulting / managed services partners).

  • Analyzing client processes, identifying automation opportunities, defining RPA value proposition, and reengineering processes to improve automation potential and recommend RPA approach/strategy.

  • Developing Detail-As-Is Process Description - PDD (Process Description Document), Detail-To-Be Automated Process Description - SDD (Solution Design Document).

  • Conducting RPA High-Level Assessments.

  • Developing RPA client architecture and solution proposals focusing on scalability and extensibility.

  • Working with product owners and business analysts to develop high-level project plans for implementation projects.

  • Working with the operations team to develop and execute deployment plans.

  • Maintaining exposure to a wide variety of technology problems and their solutions and use that to drive the adoption of best practices around coding, design, quality, and performance in the team.

  • Providing continuous advice to RPA developers and product owners during project delivery.

  • Analyzing application portfolios, identifying dependencies and common infrastructure platform components, and assessing migration feasibility.

  • Soliciting feedback from enterprise customers and influencing future iterations of our enterprise platform.

  • Assisting with cost/benefit modeling and creating compelling business cases / total cost of ownership studies for migration.

  • Assisting in defining product roadmaps and driving buy-in across complex organization structures.

  • Mentoring new members on the team or other groups based their area of depth and expertise.

  • Researchingnew and emerging market trends to evaluate the direction and longevity of product in the market.

  • Monitoring compliance to standardize procedures and best practices and create new policies and processes as needed.

The team

Deloitte Tax LLP's National Chief Technology Office (CTO) is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of technology, tools, and standard processes to support the delivery of Tax services. The CTO team is focused on enhancing Deloitte Tax LLP's ability to deliver comprehensive, value-added, and efficient Tax services to our clients. It is a dynamic team with professionals of varying backgrounds from tax technical, technology development, change management, Six Sigma, and project management. The team consults and executes on a wide range of initiatives involving process and tool development and implementation including training development, engagement management, tool design, and implementation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 6 years of relevant RPA analytics consulting or industry experience

  • 3 years of experience in Robotic Process Automations (RPA) with one of the market-leading RPA platforms: Automation Anywhere, BluePrism and/or UIPath

  • 3 years of process design and process improvement experience

  • 10 years of experience in programming (.NET, Java, ETL etc.)

  • 7 years of experience in Enterprise Architect level positions or above related to enterprise-level infrastructure management

  • Demonstrated expertise with at least 3 full lifecycle analytics or systems integration engagements across strategy, design, and implementation

  • Bachelor s degree in a relevant field

  • Breath of experience across enterprise IT in several of the following areas: software design or development, infrastructure architecture, content distribution, database architecture; IP networking; IT security; data center operations; enterprise applications

  • Breadth of expertise in cloud computing, technologies, and architectural best practices

  • Expert level technical acumen including the ability to understand the customer or partner IT landscape, identify opportunities and overcome any technical obstacles, ultimately influencing the adoption of our platforms and services in conjunction with business requirements

  • Expert level ability to understand the business domain of the customer or partner and the business problems the customer or partner is facing, with the intent to solve the business problems

  • Expert level ability to interact with senior leadership (e.g. CxO s) within a customer or partner organization

  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of customers or partners across multiple disciplines

  • Strong presentation and written communication skills; high degree of comfort with technical and executive audiences

  • Ability to travel 25% to 50% of your time

Preferred:

  • An MBA or a Master s degree in a relevant field

  • Certification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g. TOGAF).

  • Experience architecting complex use cases leveraging multi-vendor environment technologies

  • Experience managing executive customer relationships and key business stakeholders

  • Understand enterprise architecture frameworks and enterprise IT management frameworks, identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications, and global infrastructure assets

  • Broad enterprise systems experience including SAP, Oracle, MSFT, and custom Java/.NET applications

  • Proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
