Analytics & Cognitive

The Analytics & Cognitive team leverages the power of data, analytics, robotics, science and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and inform decision-making. Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy & Analytics portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets.

Analytics & Cognitive will work with our clients to:

  • Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-based platforms

  • Leverage automation, cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions

  • Drive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise and providing As-a-Service offerings for continuous insights and improvements

Work you ll do/Responsibilities

SSRS and SSAS Developer

A Microsoft SSRS and SSAS Developer on this project will work as part of a product development team and be involved in the design, build, unit testing, and deployment of SSRS Reports to support enterprise and subject area specific reporting and analysis. The developer should expect to develop analytic and interactive dashboards including prompting and drills up and across for flexibility and scalability in a SOA manner. The developer is responsible for translating functional reporting requirements into a technical design document and building the reports to be integrated in SharePoint 2013. In SSRS, the developer should have a strong understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts for accurate reporting, flexible and scalable design, multi-tiered applications, exporting the same report specification to multiple output types, and writing clear, concise, and performant MDX/DAX. For SSAS, the developer should expect to develop data source views, dimensions, and facts from an existing data mart and other federated sources and have a strong understanding of ROLAP/MOLAP/Hybrid cubes. The developer should have the ability to write complex queries in T-SQL, MDX, DAX to support unit testing and troubleshooting. The developer will also be responsible for reviewing designs and builds of junior developers.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent years experience required

  • 3 Years of report development in SSRS

  • Building matrix and chart views

  • Reports designed to be viewed in HTML and PDF Outputs, within a single .rdl

  • Intermediate application of building filters/parameters and tying them to views

  • Writing intermediate queries in SQL/MDX/DAX

  • Unit testing reports and underlying code

  • 2 Years in peer reviewing DDL/DML/SSRS Development

  • 2 Years of SSAS Cube Development

  • Articulate differences/benefits of ROLAP/MOLAP and Hybrid Cubes


  • Performance Tuning

  • Troubleshooting

  • Peer reviewing DDL/DML/SSAS Development

  • Strong understanding of dimensionally modeled relations and data warehouse design

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

  • Must live near, or relocate to, one of our Center locations:

  • Gilbert, AZ (Phoenix area)

  • Mechanicsburg, PA (Harrisburg area)

  • Lake Mary, FL (Orlando area)

  • Travel up to 20% annually (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

Preferred Skills :

  • 5 Years of Business Intelligence Development

  • 2 Years Dimensional Modeling / Data Warehouse Design

  • 1 Years of practical application of Analytics using MDX/DAX and/or data mining

  • Strong understanding of multi-tiered applications
