Work you ll do
The Manager of Leadership Research and Insights will be a key player on Bersin s Research Ideation team, which sets the agenda for Bersin s research-driven insights. He/she has broad and deep experience in the leadership space, as well as a keen perspective on the interaction between leadership and other areas of HR. This role has a strong market-facing element, including consultative discussion of Bersin s insights with Bersin members and Deloitte clients. It requires exposure to the vendor landscape within leadership, and an understanding of the trends driving change in leadership practices and solutions. It also requires internal collaboration with Bersin s sales and member advisory teams, as well as Deloitte colleagues. Finally, he/she will work with Bersin s Research Execution and Content Delivery teams to guide their work in the creation of articles, webinars, infographics, podcasts, and videos relevant to leadership research and insights. The ideal candidate for this role thrives on analyzing many sources of input in order to identify patterns and make connections. He/she can pinpoint not only what is most relevant now in the leadership space, but anticipate what leadership, talent and HR professionals will need to know tomorrow.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the research roadmap by identifying leading-edge trends in leadership, succession, and beyond, understanding the needs of the member base, collaborating with our sales and product teams, and maintaining alignment with Deloitte priorities.
Collaborate across practice areas to address the intersection of leadership and other areas of HR, with a focus on addressing unmet member needs.
Promote a personal and company brand that sets our insights apart from our competitors.
Demonstrate a polished, credible presence that commands respect from executive audiences within client and vendor organizations.
Create and deliver presentations in person and virtually to the general community and to current and prospective clients. Be a capable and confident data-driven storyteller.
Respond to complex member queries in-person, on the phone, and via electronic communication.
Participate in the development of research-based tools for members and to support consulting solutions.
Engage in thought leadership in industry forums and via social media and blogs.
Interface directly with corresponding Deloitte Consulting LLP leadership to align messaging and research roadmaps.
Work with the product, marketing, and sales teams to help position products and solutions to prospects and members.
BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, research, or related discipline
5 years of business and leadership research experience with a related analyst or research firm, research center, or consultancy
Research background in leadership and Human Capital
Strategic thinking and business skills, with ability to understand key business drivers that contribute to operational and financial success.
Demonstrated desire and drive to be a recognized thought leader within the larger leadership, HR, and talent communities. An established network and positive brand are a plus.
Highly effective presentation development and delivery skills to internal and external audiences.
Enjoys working in a collaborative, virtual environment, providing and accepting continuous feedback and support.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
10 years of business experience in HR/talent management or with a related analyst or research firm, research center, or consultancy.
