Work you ll do
Are you looking to assist Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), Chief Accounting Officers (CAOs), Controllers, and business unit finance leaders in solving complex financial accounting and reporting issues through digital enablement? Our team of digital core specialists do just that. Join our talented team of specialists serving clients across all industries by leveraging and optimizing the use of core ERP technologies.
Projects may be aligned to the following areas and may include:
Identifying and applying relevant specialized accounting, regulatory standards, cost accounting concepts, financial close and consolidation/financial reporting, financial operations and applications across multiple industries
Assisting in the design of accounting data models and rules engines to provide higher quality and more accessible financial information
Applying an understanding of Tier 1 Digital Core technologies (e.g., SAP and/or Oracle) to help clients solve business issues in an efficient and effective manner
Facilitating the use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services
Treasury Advisory Services:
Working with project team to define, plan, and execute treasury transformation enabled by treasury management systems (TMS) that support cash and liquidity management, trade management, hedge management & accounting, and financial risk management
Assisting in delivering technology transformations services to clients including treasury IT strategy, bank connectivity strategies (e.g., SWIFT, multibank reporting), vendor selections, organizational and process improvements, and TMS implementations
Assurance & Internal Audit
Engaging with clients to measure, assess, and advise on ways to minimize risk as it relates to the SAP platform. Types of engagements typically include:
o Assessing configurations and associated processes of an existing SAP platform against Deloitte s established methodologies and frameworks to provide advice and recommendations for improvement
o Consulting on, designing, and implementing optimized security and configurations based on Deloitte s established methodologies and frameworks
o Evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of SAP security configurations and processes that support internal and external conclusions of internal control over financial reporting
o Consulting with companies as they navigate the forthcoming upgrade from the SAP platform to S4/HANA by providing advice and recommendations
Regardless of project type, your work will require:
Demonstrated passion for innovation and use of Digital Core technologies (e.g., SAP and/or Oracle) to solve business issues
Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills essential to interacting with clients and teams
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/assignments/ responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to quickly and concisely research and collect data from unique places
Ability to synthesize data and convey information in a meaningful way

Undergraduate or Master s degrees in the following majors will be considered:
o Accounting or related degree. A concentration in management information systems, business analytics or other business technology related areas is a plus
o Technology related degree such as Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Science/Management and Math
o Other majors will be considered with a concentration in accounting or a related area
A strong understanding of Windows-based applications including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Travel (domestic and possibly international) up to 75% may be required, depending on role and location
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Certification or experience as a user of or administrator of a common ERP Finance and Reporting packages (SAP, Oracle, JDE, Blackline, Trintech, etc.) or Treasury Management System (Reval, Kyriba, Wall Street, PeopleSoft, SAP, SunGard, etc.)
Meets minimum requirements for CPA eligibility or other relevant certifications before beginning full-time employment
Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2)
Relevant work experience or work experience in a professional environment (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)
