Deloitte s Solutions Network (SNET) is a global network that connects Deloitte s solution centers, extended delivery centers, clients, and vendor partners. The primary focus of the SNET is to support client development projects, client pursuits, solution development, and practice development. The SNET does this by providing project teams with a hosted infrastructure that includes a large mix of hardware vendors, operating systems, and technical application expertise. The SNET also provides on-site technical architecture and application experts for Deloitte s clients.

The Solutions Network consists of experts with knowledge of all major package applications and technologies PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Siebel, Middleware, BI/DW, JAVA, .Net, Networking, SAN, Server Virtualization, Cloud, etc. SNET staff is exposed to new and emerging technology, and in many cases serves as an R&D function for Deloitte.

The Cloud Windows Architect will be responsible for providing support for all activities related to the Active Directory infrastructure of Deloitte Cloud hosting platform. The hosting ecosystem will consist of multiple hosting providers and platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP. This individual must understand thoroughly how to deploy complex Active Directory and Windows solutions in the public cloud and be an innovative problem solver and visionary.

The Cloud Windows / AD Architect position will be focused on the following activities:

  • Architect, deploy and administer a 2008R2/2012 Active Directory Forest in a multi-tenant/vendor cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) environment

  • Create Active Directory/Windows Intellectual Property (BP,POV, Roadmap, tech guides, strategy guides, POC, Sale inserts, surveys, and requirements templates)

  • Responsible for managing the architecture and operational support of the Active Directory/Windows infrastructure.

  • Develop, deploy, and manage a robust advanced GPO strategy to meet security requirements.

  • Manage Active Directory Trusts, Federation Services, SSO, SAML and LDAP technologies

  • Troubleshoot and remediate Active Directory tier 3 issues.

  • Responsible for hardening Active Directory, Windows servers, and associated technologies.

  • Conduct Active Directory security risk assessment and remediation

  • Responsible for Active Directory and Domain Controller upgrades

  • Develop strategies to automate Active Directory and Windows operational procedures in the public cloud.

  • Develop strategy, deploy, and administer Active Directory Certificate services, DNS, and SMTP services

  • Work with application owners to ensure Active Directory security standards are being followed.

  • Author internal staff documents for Active Directory and security procedures.

  • Review requirements for projects pertaining to Deloitte s Active Directory infrastructure with all project teams, management and client services groups for deployment and ongoing support.


  • 5 years of relevant professional experience in a large, diverse, Active Directory environment.

  • Bachelor-level degree in engineering, information technology, data communications, telecommunications, computer science, or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications. MCSE 2008/2012 required. MCSE Private Cloud, CISSP, CCNA or similar industry certifications preferred

  • Demonstrate expert experience with architecting, implementing and administering 2008R2/2012 Active Directory multi-domain forest in a multi-tenant/vendor cloud environment

  • Expert knowledge in developing, deploying, and managing a robust advanced GPO strategy.

  • Expert knowledge in Active Directory Users and Computers and rights delegation.

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge in Active Directory Trusts, Federation Services, SSO, and SAML.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and remediate Active Directory tier 3 issues

  • Expert knowledge with best practices for hardening an Active Directory forest and associated technologies, AD performance and security monitoring, reporting and capacity management

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge with Active Directory Upgrades and migrations.

  • Expert knowledge with Windows Server 2008R2/2012 Operating systems.

  • Advanced Power Shell scripting skills

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge in Active Directory Certificate services, DNS, and SMTP services.

  • Demonstrate experience with MS SQL Server

  • Knowledgeable in LAN/WAN/Firewall/Load Balancer/VPN/Data security/Linux

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and issue management skills.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large projects, interpreting project requirements and working directly with clients to develop customized solutions

  • Preferred ability and discipline to work and succeed in a fast pace and organizationally complex environment, to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology, and to lead and manage projects

  • Excellent oral and written communications ability. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
