Deloitte Secret Cleared Accounting & Process Improvement Analyst in Columbus, Ohio

Work you'll do

  • Provide financial operational accounting, analysis, reporting, and process improvement support to a Federal client

  • Support the project's financial reporting, operational accounting, and process improvement workstreams

  • Assist with the reconciliation of financial information from the operational accounting system with associated source documentation (e.g., purchase requests, billing records, contract information) and the operational accounting systems

  • Provide analysis of operational accounting and associated financial management processes and reports

  • Support Implementation and Operations Management best practices

  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of the client environment and overall project scope

  • Identify and solve problems using analysis, experience, and judgment

  • Independently perform tasks with some guidance to execute a portion of the project scope

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future .

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Secret clearance for this role

  • 1 or more years of experience with accounting regulations and processes

  • Travel up to 25% (While 25% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

Preferred:

  • Ability to work independently under general guidance

  • Experience working in teams and in a team environment that is process-oriented and deadline-driven

  • Professional oral and written communication skills

  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
