Deloitte Senior Manager, Market Intelligence Product Owner in Cleveland, Ohio

The Audit & Assurance Marketplace & Risk Intelligence group (Marketplace & Risk Intelligence) is a small team within the Audit practice of Deloitte responsible for creating cutting-edge web-based applications and actionable market intelligence for our audit practitioners and leadership. The team consists of highly skilled UI designers, researchers, data analysts and developers. The work we do is agile, exciting and is a valued contribution to our audit practice. Our work is critical to support leadership decision-making and enable excellent client service and growth of our Audit practice.

The Marketplace& Risk Intelligence team is looking for an experienced Product Owner .

The Product Owner has overall responsibility for several web-based applications in the Marketplace & Risk Intelligence application portfolio; and is the central point of contact between the Audit business and technical teams.

The Product Owner manages continuous application enhancements, implements business processes or communications to support use of the applications, performs reporting to leadership, and manages stakeholder satisfaction through excellent project management/leadership skills and articulate communication abilities.

Work you'll do

  • Becomes a subject matter expert, and the central point of contact for applications within the application portfolio.

  • Prepares and/or conducts presentations to the practice or other internal groups to promote usage and understanding of market intelligence application capabilities. Develops training, communications, best practices and FAQs.

  • Facilitates and insures the removal of any obstacles by the team and shields team from external distractions. Keeps team focused on priorities that are high value.

  • Works with the business to understand and prioritize needs and requirements. Establishes steering committee calls/meetings. Communicates priorities to development teams. Keeps business apprised of progress.

  • Owns the Product Backlog. Defines, drafts and validates business and functional requirements.Works with Architect to ensure product backlog is refined to sufficient detail, and to get user stories accepted. Makes time available to explain what is needed to the development team and review work as needed. Ensures items in the backlog are ready so there is no delay or down time between Sprints.

  • Develops and manages the Product Roadmap. Collaborates with key stakeholders, and in conjunction with budget and business priorities.

  • Manages the product and/or portfolio budget

  • Participates on daily scrum calls.

  • Identify and address problems before they occur.

  • Crafts and implements user acceptance testing to ensure solutions are defect free and achieve design requirements. Consolidates and prioritizes feedback for development team.

  • Ensures a collaborative culture exists within the team, promotes team building.Conducts project retrospectives to obtain feedback from teams and leadership to continuously improve processes and quality.

  • Provides input on and advocates for future initiatives/projects/tools. Contributes to the application planning, implementation and deployment.

  • Tracks and communicates the overall progress of the release and provides transparency and visibility on project status and progress.

  • Manages compliance with internal Deloitte policies, technology controls, governance and procedures.

  • Leads/performs testing and reviews to ensure completeness and accuracy of data/content andensure that business needs are met. Works with USI and others but may be required topopulate and maintain databases as required.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Required:

  • 5 years of experience in business analysis/product management/product development of software-based solutions.

  • Understanding of the full SDLC process

  • Strong sense for software quality and user experience discipline

  • Market Intelligence and/or Audit background a plus.

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Must understand Agile development framework

  • Advanced Project Management skills and ability to manage complex projects

  • Bachelor s degree

  • Consistent, demonstrated high performer.

  • Expert level understanding of standard agile practices.

  • Team player that works well in collaborative and matrix management situations. Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good communications and presentation skills, assertiveness and the ability to take discussions and open issues to closure by working with local and remote teams.

  • Ability to get up-to-speed quickly, work independently and demonstrate solid decision-making skills.

  • Be able to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team - developers, designers, researchers, audit practitioners, managing directors, partners and firm leadership.

  • Creative mindset. Passion for solving problems.

  • Proven ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders

  • Experience working within a virtual team environment

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to respond quickly to high-priority deadlines and easily adapt to change
