Salesforce Developer - Einstein Analytics & Discovery Developer

Work you'll do


  • Ability to support projects and enhancements from start to finish. Includes attending planning sessions, refining requirements and use cases for sign-off, defining the best approach/option for meeting clients' needs, configuring and building the solution, completing test cycles, and deploying final solution to various environments

  • Ability to understand and translate business requirements into an effective Salesforce solution that promotes high performance and an optimal user experience

  • Ability to configure and customize Salesforce Einstein Analytics dashboards

  • Prior experience with Salesforce Einstein Analytics and any other Analytics BI tools like Tableau

  • Ability to develop Salesforce solutions using Visualforce; customize solutions using custom objects, workflows, page layouts, fields, process builders, flows, automation and approvals

  • Ability to write Apex classes, triggers and controllers to customize the application to client-specific needs. Development knowledge on LWC (Lighting Web Components) and Lighting Component development using Aura framework

  • Ability to create reports, dashboards and validation rules and provide consultation on how to improve user productivity

  • Support technical design sessions and system integration efforts

  • Complete work efforts on schedule, within budget and with minimal defects

  • Escalate issues and risks proactively to technical leads and develop mitigating actions

  • Provide insight in managing system configuration specifications, training manuals, and other internal system documentation

  • Partner with Business System Analysts (BSA) to analyze business and functional requirements which have an impact on the Salesforce solution

  • Work with US and offshore teams to identify new and creative opportunities to leverage

  • Monitor daily progress against project delivery plans and status of deliverables

  • Understanding of Salesforce 3X release cycle and assessing impact

    Deloitte Application Studios (DAS)

Deloitte Application Studios (DAS) is the internal software and applications development team responsible for delivering leading-edge technologies to Deloitte professionals. Their broad portfolio includes web and mobile productivity tools which empower our people to log expenses, enter timesheets, book travel and more, anywhere, anytime. DAS enables our client service professionals through a comprehensive suite of applications across the business lines. In addition to application delivery, DAS offers full-scale design services, a robust mobile portfolio, cutting-edge analytics, and innovative custom development.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications

  • 5+ years of in-depth technical experience on configuration, customization and development of analytics tools

  • Hands-on Salesforce Einstein Analytics/Discovery configuration and development experience

  • Ability to capture BI requirements and build dashboards

  • Experience with SAFE Agile framework and execution

  • Good understanding of DevSecOps and release management process

  • Experience articulating design specifications and implementing leading practices

  • Ability to translate BI requirements using SAQL (Salesforce Analytics Query Language)

  • Ability to optimize SAQL queries for dashboard performance

  • Ability to implement Analytics security model

  • Ability to deploy Einstein Discovery assets and components across various environments

  • Experienced in real-time integrations with Salesforce involving SOAP, REST APIs and understanding of concepts such as firewalls, reverse proxies and security certificates

  • Salesforce Certified - Salesforce Admin and Developer Certifications

  • Experience with all core tools (i.e., Dataloader, Translation Workbench) and products

  • Thorough understanding of the role, profile and permissions sets (security and sharing model) guiding access and visibility, SSO, and desktop/mobile integrations

  • Worked on projects involving large CRM data volumes and batch integrations

  • Applied best practices of design & programming and building solutions for scale, performance and reusability

  • Experience working with end-users and development teams to document and clarify requirements and manage scope of defined features and functions during project lifecycle

  • Creative - able to think outside the box; uses knowledge gained through prior experience, education, and training to resolve issues and remove project barriers in a timely manner

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills a plus.

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • Ability to travel up to 5% (While 5% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
