Work you'll do
As a content strategist focused on supporting Deloitte's external audit services, you'll use your skills and experience to:
Manage, curate, develop, and improve sales content for maximum impact.
Manage libraries of client-facing content for recency and relevancy. This includes keeping on top of the latest thinking and material, serving as a subject matter specialist on that content, and maintaining it within Deloitte's technology databases and materials creation tools.
Research, curate, and develop content to continuously build the library. Research would involve sourcing relevant information using internal and external resources. Curation would involve tight coordination with other subject matter specialists to make sure the most up-to-date and best-in-class content is available, and development would include hands-on writing and design of material oneself. These aspects may often include interviewing others within Deloitte.
Improve content continuously by reviewing sales materials and-based on subject matter knowledge, writing, design, and sales skills-recommending upgrades, alternatives, and innovative methods of communicating information.
Work on pursuits either as the primary representative of our team with internal customers or alongside other support team members. This would include both serving as the content specialist and generating customized material for specific new business pursuits.
Collaborate with the pursuit team's and Deloitte's broader knowledge management teams on content, data sources, and taxonomy methods standards.
Manage and stay up-to-date on technology tools, including liaising with Deloitte's technology department and external technology vendors.
Be prepared to advise on best practices for communicating messages for printed and oral deliverables.
Contribute to developing Deloitte's pursuit team, including collaborating with other pursuit team members, continuously refining and improving processes and strategies, training users, leading focus groups, sharing progress with national leadership, and acting as a project-by-project liaison between our team and the broader organization.
Candidate should possess a strong skillset, aptitude, and interest in such areas as:
Presentation and sales messaging
Writing and design
Knowledge management and project management
Quality and attention to detail
Flexibility and adaptability
Preferred Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, humanities, or related disciplines.
Minimum of eight years' relevant experience in business-to-business communications and/or strategic marketing communications directed to private companies and Fortune 1000 organizations; experience in a professional services environment preferred. Academic communicators with Ph.Ds or ABDs will also be considered.
Experience with Qvidian, Templafy, or other proposal management software preferred.
Excellent communicator, writer, editor, leader, and strategist, with a keen eye for detail.
Experience collaborating with others in strategic discussion.
Experience with project management for multi-dimensional projects.
Excellent relevant materials samples.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
This role is heavily virtual, but candidates should be able to travel approximately 10% depending on project requirements, training, and business need fluctuations.
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $95070-$175080.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
