Work you'll do/Responsibilities

  • Ensure the long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall database systems planning of the organization.

  • Maintain responsibility for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of MySQL DB architecture.

  • Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management.

  • Maintain responsibility for database administration or engineering activities, ensuring optimal performance on MySQL environments.

Our Government & Public Sector Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.

Government & Public Sector Systems Engineering professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.



  • 4+ years of experience with MySQL Server Database Administration

  • 4+ years of experience in database/application tuning

  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity, performance, replication, connectivity and security issues

  • Ability to detect and troubleshoot MySQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, and other resource contention issues

  • Experience with MySQL Server, SQL Server Profiler, SQL Reporting Services

  • Ability to conduct Disaster Recovery testing plan and support SQL Server environments

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute data conversion activities such as data mapping/conversion programming to support data migrations between solutions

  • Travel up to 20% annually (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

  • Must have an Active Security Clearance

  • Must have a Security+ Certification

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
