Senior Manager: Proposal Writer-Consulting

Work you'll do

As a Pursuit Senior Manager/Proposal Writer, you'll use your writing skills and experience to:

  • Support priority bid opportunities for new business pursuits at Deloitte Consulting

  • Write executive summaries and pursuit materials that articulate our strategic messaging in a compelling and persuasive manner

  • Capture, shape, and synthesize information to reflect a cohesive message, written in one voice

  • Translate technical information and business jargon into clear, consistent, and grammatically correct content

  • Demonstrate a finely-tuned ability to sift through a discussion, extracting the most significant information and action items

  • Engage with pursuit teams strategically, posing questions that encourage a team to consider all aspects of the client's position, and draw out essential messaging

  • Collaborate with graphic designers, project managers, pursuit coaches, and client service teams to build creative and innovative material

  • Prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, traveling nationwide to work onsite with pursuit teams

  • Lead special projects

  • Interview potential new employees

  • Coach and mentor colleagues at the Manager and Senior levels

    Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in English, journalism, communications, humanities, liberal arts, screenwriting, or related disciplines

  • 8+ years of professional experience in a relevant business

  • Prior high-level experience writing professional services proposals

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • The ability to quickly grasp technical knowledge and make it clear for external parties

  • Strong executive presence

  • Agility and speed in executing strong writing

  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to "get smart quick" on a wide variety of topics

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment

  • Exceptional project management skills

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

  • Ability to travel 25-30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

    For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $115,030- $211,850

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
