What you ll do

This position (office location flexible), is responsible for providing strategic marketing and communications direction and leadership for Deloitte s Human Capital Service Offering.

This Strategic Marketing Planner (SMP) Senior Manager oversees strategy and planning for integrated marketing campaigns that support Deloitte s Human Capital business. Senior SMPs serve as trusted marketing advisors to their business leaders and key stakeholders. They are responsible for developing strategic marketing plans for best-in-class marketing operations as well as oversight for marketing campaign execution. In addition, senior SMPs build specific programs, utilizing innovative, go-to-market tools and approaches, to bring the full capabilities of the firm to bear with maximize reach and impact to the market.

This Senior Marketing Manager for Human Capital will drive the development of the strategy, planning and execution for integrated marketing programs and campaigns that support growth and positioning strategies. The ideal candidate will be a marketing professional with experience in professional services marketing with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrixed organization. The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications, including marketing strategy, campaign development, alliance building, channel marketing and sales enablement. We seek an individual who is innovative in their thinking and is willing to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities include

  • Strong knowledge of services, products, and technologies for Human Capital, Organizational Development, Talent Management, Career Development, Workforce Planning, Competency Management and Workforce Analytics.

  • In conjunction with Business Chief Marketing Officer (BCMO) and Human Capital marketing team, develops, maintains, and drives prioritization of all marketing activities for specific areas of responsibility

  • With BCMO and Partner, Principal and Managing Director (PPMD) stakeholders as appropriate, vets requests for marketing support within areas of responsibility

  • Works with BCMO and stakeholders to initiate and support development of strategic marketing campaigns in support of priorities

  • Coordinates with Internal Communications around initiation and development of strategic marketing campaigns

  • Collaborates with PR team to drive media coverage when applicable

  • Manages the overall portfolio of campaigns and activities to ensure proper prioritization and utilization of appropriate resources

  • Develops strategic briefs (business case) for prioritized marketing campaigns; Drives approval process for campaigns with key leadership

  • Engages other SMPs to coordinate campaign activities and pull in other capabilities, as appropriate

  • Engages Campaign Management in execution of campaigns; oversee, in conjunction with Marketing Services, delivery of campaigns

  • Manages overall marketing calendar, including major campaigns, product/offering launches, major events, and core marketing maintenance activities

  • Plans and manages marketing budgets for campaigns in conjunction with Campaign Management

  • Serves as marketing advisor to key stakeholders within areas of responsibility assists with articulation of value propositions, develops marketing objectives in support of key priorities and serves as connection point across the firm

  • Brings innovative thinking and marketing practices to all marketing activities

  • Along with Marketing Services, develops metrics and KPIs to assess campaign success at the campaign, activity and channel levels to inform future campaign tactics

Requirements include:


  • 15 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on marketing and communications strategy and planning

  • Solid understanding and foundation of Human Capital strategies and market trends.

  • Deep understanding of strategic marketing planning with an ability to execute tactically

  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results

  • Previous experience in B2B marketing strategy; professional services experience is strongly preferred

  • Previous experience leading and developing a team of both direct and indirect reports

  • Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts

  • Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in Marketing


  • 2 years of experience in Industry marketing

  • Master s Degree, MBA preferable
