Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Provide technical and analytical actuarial support in a consulting environment. Assist with the delivery of large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions and technology solutions for our clients. Assist insurance providers in all aspects of insurance, financial services, and risk issues. Develop actuarial analytical models, including medical and insurance cost trend analysis, utilization benchmarking, management targeting, transition of care, provider reimbursement, and network analyses using Statistical Analysis System and R software. Perform advanced statistical inquiry using linear models and Self Organizing Maps analysis. Build dynamic dashboards and summarize key performance metrics using data visualization products, including Tableau and QlikView. Complete financial analyses and projections, including analyzing and modelling statements of large clients using Microsoft Excel. Develop Big Data analytical platforms by linking different large datasets utilizing Microsoft SQL. Conduct cost savings analysis for health plans and provider groups using unit cost trends and risk adjustment methodologies. Develop complex queries to load, cleanse, manipulate, and analyze large datasets utilizing SAS and Microsoft Visual Basic Applications. Conduct current state assessments and identify and implement future state recommendations for operational processes within health plans to maximize efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Two years of experience providing analytical and technical actuarial services to clients.

  • Must have two years of experience with:

  • Developing actuarial analytical models, including medical and insurance cost trend analysis, utilization benchmarking, management targeting, transition of care, provider reimbursement, and network analyses using Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and R software;

  • Performing advanced statistical inquiry using linear models and Self Organizing Maps analysis;

  • Building dynamic dashboards and summarizing key performance metrics using data visualization products, including Tableau and QlikView;

  • Completing financial analyses and projections, including analyzing and modelling statements of large clients using Microsoft Excel;
